I accidentally found on my computer this video of a talk that I planned to give at the conference "Finn IV. Fíanaigecht: 4th International Finn Cycle Conference" (Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. 23-25 June 2022). It turned out to be to long and I had to record a shorter version instead. This is the previously unseen full-length version.

Bro didn't mention any of the ogham in the USA, Russia, Peru, Ukraine, Egypt 😂😂😂 Ogham was made to help the old church survive during the Roman Catholic incursions. It's disgusting to me that these 'Irish' institutes go along with it.

Just realized this was Joy Division towards the end of your reading and it gave me chills. Great work, and also as always, RIP Ian. I hope he's reincarnated in a time more like the ways of old. The modern world wore him down like it has done with endless others. I always felt like his "spirit" was moving between realms. Who knows. His music, and Joy Division as a band as a whole hold a dear place within.

I am currently learning Welsh, Irish and Scottish Gaelic on the humble Duolingo. But I want to learn from "SengoÍdelc - Old Irish for Beginners", because I thought that knowing something of modern Irish would help me in this task, as you may notice my first language is spanish. My head is a mess right now. Great channel. It will be hard to move from a platform that teaches you "patterns of the language" to an actual linguistic research, but I have the determination at least. Great channel. Greetings from Argentina

Would it be possible to put some texts and poems of your old irish learning book, and/or the examples of the phonetical part of the first lessons of the book ? it would be very helpful because old irish phonology is, well, not so easy ;-)

Incredible-- I had no idea you were here on UA-cam. I've been cracking into your book on Old Irish (Sengoidelc: Old Irish for Beginners) for some time now (not nearly as much as I'd like!), and it's been excellent. Go raibh míle maith agat!
