USDE Bridges operates as a Discord server where German and American exchange students can connect, posing inquiries about culture, transportation, cuisine, and any other aspects they wish to explore before their exchange experience. Additionally, individuals considering future exchanges or those intrigued by German and American cultures are encouraged to join.
This initiative mirrors the goals of CBYX but adopts a more casual approach. It nurtures cultural awareness and offers insights into life in another country. Moreover, it provides a platform for prospective exchange students to benefit from the perspectives of current and former participants. Well… Question: Is she German or just IN Germany haha? Because I feel like that makes a difference. And compared to other cultures where the “unspoken rule” is to “arrive at 7” when 5 was the time that was planned to meet at, Germans ARE punctual, even early! Because most(!) people here would rather be there 10 minutes earlier than even 5 minutes too late. It’s considered rude.

That's actually a nice idea to make a video about. 😊😊 I don't know why people keep telling others certain things about a country, when you can see in the country it's not true.
Thank you! This was one of the struggles I dealt with a lot when I came here because almost everyone I knew was late on a constant basis.

But it is true? Just because one person missed the bus and therefore is late…? That doesn’t mean most Germans are not punctual? 😭
@@superyupper I don't know any numbers, but I can say that there are several other countries where people are as punctual or even more punctual than Germans. So, it makes no sense to me to keep this legend of the "punctual German" alive.
