Paul is back!!

Which lineman plays when the next injury happens?
I totally agree about Packers offense, their execution is a bit sloppy at times. At this time of year, I think they can tighten things up and be sharp for the playoffs. I’m actually worried about the loss of Preston Smith, in terms of his leadership. Who will step up into that role?
And one of the goats is back 🎉🎉🎉🎉
great breakdown!
Whew! Was in full on panic mode; no games on TV, no PB on YT!
Love reading your articles and watching these videos! Go Pack Go!
Thank you! Appreciate that.
IIRC, LaFleur lauded Tyler Davis's production on ST's. Another option is Austin Allen. In camp last year. Maybe he excels playing in the UFL.
Austin Allen was cut on 9/12/23
One school of thought is to frontload Love's and any other FA's contracts because in two years Quay, Wyatt, Watson, Doubs et al contracts are up. Or go all in for the next two years. Backload Love's contract and FA's like Queen and McKinney. In two years, renegotiate the 3 contracts and sign to 2nd contracts the players you want. Thoughts?
More great analysis as always Paul Brentl! Need to bring Tyler Davis back for the tight ends room & to improve the special teams. Benn Simms also looks solid in that tight end group. Like to see more of him. I sure hope Josiah Deguara is cut & off this Packers roster come the 2024 season. Let's give Henry Pearson a shot he can't be any worse at fullback. Draft another late. WR have 8 competent pass catchers in that room. All dirt cheap too on rookie contracts! Go Pack Go!
There is only one reason this Packers team didn't make or win the superbowl this season. That would be due to their coach who absolutely refuses to run the damn ball on 1st downs. 4 incompletions in first half vs SF on 1st downs when he should of ran with A Jones cost GB. The Packers had beaten KC in 2023 plus scored more points vs them than any other team. Matt is a guru in the pass game without doubt. But he doesn't deserve to have Aaron Jones. He refuses to give him 25+ touches with consistency. Refuses to run the ball on 1st downs. It is his weakness & for me why I dislike his play calling & am very skeptical of his coaching. Aaron Jones remains the heart & soul of this team. Packers number one resigning priority. Time to say goodbye to AJ Dillion. Emanuel Wilson needs to take that role & be better. Packers need to draft or get someone in free agency to mentor as A Jones replacement. Jordan Love needs to continue to be a great ball control QB like he was 2nd half of season. He was 9-1 in games he threw no interceptions in the 2023 season. Manage the ball. He does that & continues to develop he'll be an elite QB in this league without a doubt. WR/TE room is strong. Provided Tyler Davis is brought back to compliment Kraft & Musgrave. Tyler Davis was also the Packers best special teams player in 2022 the Packers need him. Ben Simms also has looked good with his limited opportunities. Strongest room in years. Josiah Deguara needs to be cut. Henry Pearson needs a chance to be the starting fullback. Packers have 7 competent wide receivers in that room it is one of the team's strengths now. The only glaring need on offense other than finding a mentor for Aaron Jones is the O line. Only Zach Tom & Elgton Jenkins are studs on this line. Walker has been solid at tackle. Josh Myers continues to under achieve as a high second round pick from the draft. Jon Runyan Jr must be cut. Sean Rhyan former 3rd round pick needs to get his opportunity. Right guard & center are the two weakest links on this O line two targets for the draft. There is also a need to add a tackle for depth & to increase competition on the O line. It's also time to say goodbye to the under achieving Royce Newman & Yosh Nijman. They remain elite as pass blockers. Run blocking has been abysmal that needs to improve. GB offense has most of what it needs now to compete for a superbowl. Just don't regress! The defense is the problem. Where the majority of the Packers 2024 draft capital needs to go. GB must improve on defense. If they intend to play man coverage they need shutdown players. CB & safety are the priority in this draft. Where the majority of the 2024 draft capital must go! Jaire Alexander needs to regain his probowl form. Past 2 seasons been injury prone & subpar. Carrington Valentine needs to prove he can play like last season & become a solid starter. Eric Stokes has been another Gutekunst 1st round blunder. Contract year for him in 2024. Corey Balentine over performed as a UFA but is not a long term answer. Good plug & play. Safety Anthony Johnson Jr 7th round pick did well with his limited opportunities in 2023. Like Valentine he needs to prove he can be a solid starter & build on his past season. Jonathan Owens did well but again only a good plug & play player. Need a stud in that room. Rudy Ford is a very solid piece but is an aging player. If he is cheap be good to bring back. Keisean Nixon underperformer in the secondary with likely to high a price tag to retain. Need at least one more shutdown CB to add to that secondary. Safety needs more depth. This team was one of the worst in the NFL in man coverage & much better in zone coverage. 3 game stretch vs Bryce Young, Baker Mayfield & Tony Devito GB man coverage was torched. Someone for D line can actually stop the run! Wyatt is a great pass rusher but abysmal vs run. They gave up 200+ on the ground vs the 4 teams leaned into the run 2023 -ATL, PIT, DET, PIT. Devondre Campbell likely to get cut due to his large contract ILB also a need in the draft now. Edge room is solid provided they bring back Preston Smith again next season. Mr consistent. Rashan Gary needs to be better. He disappeared the last quarter of the season for the Pack. I'd love to see Brenton Cox Jr get more opportunity with this unit next year for the Packers. Rich Bisaccia has under performed with special teams. That must be better without a doubt. Carlson over achieved first half of 2023 then under achieved the second half of 2023. The long snapper is very suspect. Nixon is too expensive to bring back most likely. Tyler Davis's return will help some in 2024. But it has to be much much better next year. Brian Gutekunst has only brought in two big name players during his tenure as GB GM. Darius & Preston Smith. Like his predecessors he has been useless in free agency. With draft capital & more salary capital flexibility in 2024 that needs to change. A running back in a buyers market would be a wise move. Get a proven talent. The O line & D line could both use another stud. CB & safety also need a stud. Go Pack Go!
A D Henry sign would be fun, BUT, there are some Jones like RB's available in the draft. 2nd, 3rd and even 6th and 7th rounders. That said, GB is blessed in that they don't have some meddling greedy owner and should max out the salary cap every year.
Thanks for the over view
Thanks for watching!
The Packers don't need anymore older, high priced players...the cap is tied up by six players (Bakhiarti, Clark, Jones, Smith, Alexander, and Campbell). The Packers can't do anything until they address these players, and the last thing we want are more void years or another nightmare high priced player.
Packers should go after Derrick Henry if Dillon goes
I'm usually draft and develop, but if Derrick Henry is doable, I would take a run at him.
Great info..thanks
👍🏼
Excellent explanations of the salary cap juju. Appreciate it.
Thanks for tuning in!
When you get to Edge I hope you spend time talking bout Brenton Cox jr.
Thanks Paul hope all is well brother Go Pack Go
I’m doing great. Hope you are as well!
Love this idea for the offseason...thanks for doing this!
Appreciate you tuning in!
GB is 27th against the run . Dallas RB Pollard has 1005 yards rushing . Jones only has 656 .
How many games/ touches did Pollard have though? Half those yards from Jones are over the last 3 games
Run run run. It's their Achilles heel.
GB is 27th against the run
@@czarcastic1458 No more lol
Just got to Arlington!! GPG
Look out for those Motel 6 bedbugs. They think they won the civil war😅
@@James-ll3jb 😂😂😂
Good insight. Good episode. The Cowboys are very beatable. GB has to come in with a great game plan and execute it without mistakes. But honestly, that’s a pretty big ask on the road, especially in Dallas where the Cowboys have been tougher than any other team in the league.
Interior o line must keep Jordan's ablitily to step up in pocket, if Parsons beats Meyer alot it will be a long day
They may put Parsons on Tom. Tom has only allowed 2 sacks with 1600 snaps. As a 4th round draft pick, that's pretty damn good
They move Parsons around now. But our O-line can deal with him
Gary going up against one of the worse tackles in the NFL other than Taylor from KC he has to eat today.
Steele is a sieve😊
💰
Fuck GreenBay!!! 🐻BEAR⬇️DOWN🏈
Great videos😘😘
Thanks Paul, awesome content. Love the analysis
Praying for Watson to have some limited reps and Stokes and Ja to have a better game than in the past
Stokes is on IR, he won't be playing again this season but hopefully CB and CV can show out. Our Safeties really need to ball out and Barry needs to blitz and rush Fields. D line needs to hold the line also and we should have a strong game
An, you gotta stop live streaming or whatever is going on with these. Just take a normal video and upload it. Good analysis as always, just brutal to watch because of the reception issuesb
Paul, Awesome content, REALLY poor reception, so poor video. The video b4 this one had very low audio sound.
Content great as always
Paul I love the podcast but you definitely have got to stop buying those routers from garage sales
Nice to see this offense mostly healthy. Love gets a lot of praise, but that O line was amazing and Aaron Jones was Aaron Jones.
Great job Paul. You are the calming voice of the GBP UA-cam world !!
Another great breakdown Paul! Always the best insights about this Packers team.
Thanks again for your commentary. Packers news is always welcome. Go Pack Go!
Nice video.🥰🥰🥰
really good solution😘😘😘
If Carolina wins, Bryce Young is offensive player of the week in the NFC.
Carlesons misses often are when there is a poor snap and placement
I can see the Packers beating the Viking this week and being in a ‘play-in’ game in the final week of the season - just like last year when they lost to the Lions - except this time it will be against da Bears.
MLF really needs to take a hard look at himself and knock it out of the park with the next D Coordinator because if this keeps up MLF will be on his way out as well.
Green Bay will never win anything with MLF.
