Not all heroes wear capes. Thanks man mine just cracked today and was hoping someone did a tutorial.
@@joshvisel182 Goodluck man. I will say that my existing cooler lines didn’t thread into the new radiator well. So use the new pieces they give you and attached them to the existing lines. Should be metal inserts into the rubber hoses. Hope that explains it well🤞🏽
Thank you 🙏🙏
You seem to have a problem with your ABS module considering all those lights on the dash..... In my case i first encountered the fuel pump (stalling) problem and soon after the ABS module issue came around. I wonder if those two issues are related.
@@mrkolyan12 yeah I’ve read that with this generation of accord the ABS module can throw all those dash lights. Honda should’ve recalled that
theres a way easier way i’ve been searching for weeks on how to install a double din in 03-07 cts, its a PAC wiring harness and it makes it plug play with any head unit, its on amazon the name of it is “ PAC Onstar Interface for 03-07 CTS & 04-07 SRX “ has no rear speaker connections tho so i just tap those into the front ones like front left + and rear left plus from your aftermarket head unit harness go with front left plus on the harness for the car and so on and so forth
Great video. When the your car stalled at a stoplight did it happen suddenly or did it start shaking before stalling?
@@juanitobananas87 so it’s shaken before at stop lights but never died. This time around it just stalled completely without and shaking. I didn’t even realize it was off until I saw the RPM at 0
YA It's called a suiside can for a reason dumbass, low and high Pressures are a corelating factor with temp. Higher ambient temp = Higher presures, don't just drop a can in without looking for pressure, temp diferentials,, there are charts for this, google it.
they say you should not put too much in makes pressures too high on compressor and such.
@@ranger178 definitely! That’s why I’d recommend to make sure that your compressor and everything else seem to be working. If it’s already around 40-50 PSI, you do not need to add anymore, it’s probably a different issue
Hey bub, what color is what, when u take out the factory radio,I don't have no wire harness..
The easiest way to check is to look up the wiring diagram. A Cadillac forum should have it, that’s where I found what colors mine were
@@TheGarageDoc ok cool, well I finally fixed it about a week ago,but thanks for responding back bub.
nice...i will do mine soon. thANK YOU mate
Goodluck!
Cool you had the bolts undone. We wanna see you take em off. Lol wtf
@@seanballard2062 I showed you the location and the size…. Just put a socket and ratchet on it?😂
That's I love like that eat explanation and fast
Goodluck!
Will this work on an '09 Ranger?
Did you change your speakers? I thought I read somewhere that the OEM speakers are different ohm than what aftermarket head units can run. Maybe that’s just Bose systems though…
I used my stock speakers and didn’t notice a difference
This was a great step by step removal/installation video. I appreciate your time. Thanks.
@@JasonGordon-y4c glad I could help!
This is gold. I took the whole door panel off, realized it didn't help me, and then watched this video.

Great video thanks for the help man
Glad I could help!
So are you just not able to use the factory amp when you install an aftermarket radio? I need some explanation I’m just confused why you can’t tap into the connector coming off the back of the radio
Yeah it’s a bit confusing. When you put a new double din radio in, it comes with a wiring harness, because not every vehicle has the same connector. So the normal 8 wires ( 4 speakers each a + and -) that you connect the new radio to are usually the back of the radio because they usually have an amp inside them. But if you skip to 3:01 on this video, you’ll see that those 8 wires are actually in the trunk instead. And from the trunk, they run wires to the speakers. So the route I chose was to take 8 wires and run them from the new radio up front, and then go to each speaker from there. I hope that helps explain it some
Such a great step by step video no gimmick no extra conversation just the ends n out on how to fix the compressor THANK Y.O.U😅🎉
Yessir! Glad I can help🎉
Those wires in trunk are the output wires for sure? I don’t wanna tap into them and be the wrong ones…. What wires are for the tweeters and center speaker? I wanna tie those into door speakers
Yeah all the colors coming out of the amp on the big connectors are to each speaker. I can’t tell you for sure the colors but if you check the wiring diagram it’ll say something along the lines of “rear center speaker (+ white/green) ( - red/black)
pinoutguide.com/Car-Stereo-GMC-Opel-Chevrolet/Cadillac_2002-2008_CTS_BO_pinout.shtml here’s all the outputs. Definitely easier to understand with the pin labels instead of just using the colors
So what would happen if you remove the factory amp?
You would have to buy some sort of adapter because the head unit does not have 8 wires (4 speakers, each with a + and -) coming out of it. Cadillac did not make it easy for radio swaps
@@TheGarageDocI already have an aftermarket system installed. 2 Ct sounds strato 12’s on a recoil 2500.1. I think the factory amp is the reason for the humming coming from my subs.
@@guestguestthat would usually be from a loose ground or loose RCA connections
Hi, can you reuse the clip that is attached to the bar? Mine did not come with the plastic clip. Thanks!
I don’t see why not. I’ve never tried to take it off so I can’t say for certian, but if yours didn’t come with one that makes me think that they can come off
Where did you get that dash kit? I can’t find one . Did you order it on line?
I ordered mine on Amazon. Just typed in “2007 Cadillac double din dash kit” and it was on there
Love this video bro, no BS and straight to the point, I have the same car and there's no ac right now and the convertible top stopped working.
These cars seem notorious for the top not working😒
Can anyone recommend how to remove to clutch to bypass the ac on a 2010 2.4l
I have a 2006 cts and mine is so different
Is the head unit a completely different shape?
I cant just use a wiring kit to connect behind the dash? Like some other cars.
This car (and possibly all Cadillacs) is very different from any other one I’ve dealt with. I’ve always been able to use a wiring harness to put on a new double din, but I could not find one that was even made for this car. This car also uses more than just one or two factory harnesses (as seen in the video) so I think that is what makes it difficult to adapt to a typical double din radio which just has one or two connectors
So there is no wiring harness for a 2004 cadallac CTS?
@@paulherdon1678I searched everywhere and couldn’t find any for the 07, and I believe the radio is the same for 2003-2007
My tubes for the sunroof was disconnected on my 06. Took me forever to figure it out 😂
May have taken forever but at least it didn’t cost you much😂
