My First Day Ever At Mountain Baker Ski Area
Переглядів 686 місяців тому
This was my first day ever at Mt.Baker Ski Area. Along with RED mountain ski resort and Whistler, this is the mountain I wanted to check out in person because their names get mentioned a lot online. On a good snow day, I wouldn't be able to choose between this and Revy's North Bowl. I think it was about high ankle deep in this video. One day, I want to know what skiing chest deep or waist deep ...
My First Day Ever at Whistler (Whistler Side Only)

I'm skiing Whistler for the first time in this video. I have skied the BlackComb side before. All the skiing footage was recorded on 3.25.2024.
My First Day Ever at Red Mountain Ski Resort Rossland BC
Переглядів 546 місяців тому
This was my first day ever at Red Mountain Rossland, British Columbia. I knew this year is not the strong snow year for almost every ski resort on the west coast but i still had some hopes that I might be able to experience pow tree skiing here. However, I was let down. Also, because of my poor research effort prior to the visit, I missed out on a lot of good stuff. Had I had more time, I would...
Which of These Ski Resorts Should I Go?
Переглядів 516 місяців тому
I used to be curious about these ski resorts because they were mentioned a lot on online. So I went and checked them out in person. And, this video summarize what my experience has been like with that. I am aware I included Snowbird, Alta on the list but didn't really mention much about it. I'm going to say Snowbird is a safe choice over Jackson Hole. And, probably terrane-wise, Snowbird is bet...
My Mount Baldy California Ski Video
Переглядів 161Рік тому
I had a bluebird cloud inversion day at Mount Baldy Ski Resort in California. One funny story is that I originally thought of making this as a full 30 minute video because that's what I do every time when I visit a new ski resort. But I wanted to do something different this time. So this is the result. I almost never use a background music from someone I like. so that's also new as well. I thin...
My First Day at Snowbird Utah
Переглядів 93Рік тому
In this video, I go skiing at Snowbird for the first time ever. Unlike the video I made about Alta, I'm happier with how this video came together. I was worried about foggy weather and low visibility but the weather allowed a few somewhat sunny moments and I was able to record some decent footage. Timecode 0:26 The View From “Hidden Peak” & the “Summit Restaurant” 0:56 While Riding on "Path to ...
My First Day Ever at Alta Ski Area
Переглядів 212Рік тому
This year snow conditions for lots of ski resorts are not that great. From the UA-cam Movies I’ve seen so far, Most of Canadian ski resorts (Red, Whistler, Revelstoke, Kicking Horse) didn’t get a lot of snow. Many parts of the Alps too I heard didn’t get a lot snow. On the other hand, Mammoth and Lake Tahoe area got so much snow. And, Alta and Snowbird got a decent snow coverage as of 2.13.2022...
Heisler Park
Переглядів 39Рік тому
I've visited Heisler Park in Laguna Beach during the Winter (It's January). (It was very windy the night before) So my first assumption was that it was not going to be as nice as summer. While I can't make that comparison because I've never been here during the summer, I can say that It felt pretty in the winter. So I think you can expect to be pretty hot here if you visit here during the summe...
My First Time Visiting the Getty Museum
Переглядів 48Рік тому
In this video, I narrate my visit to the Getty Center for the first time. It opened to the public on December 16th, 1997 but it looked very clean and still new. One might say it’s a dated design but I liked it a lot. It reminded me a bit of Lincoln Center in NYC (1962). The place definitely had some kind of Zen effect on me when I visited here.
Redondo Beach Scenic Walk (I can recommend here)
Переглядів 45Рік тому
In this video, I take a short walk on the elevated path in Redondo Beach. I can't say I have been to every beach near Los Angeles but I think this is my personal favorite so far for a few reasons. The first and the most obvious reason is that you get to view things from an elevated area. So your perspective will be quite different from your other beach visits near Los Angeles. And, the building...
Yellowstone and Jackson
Переглядів 322 роки тому
I went to almost every major attraction in Yellowstone National park. I tell you in this video what I liked about and what not. The beginning of this video starts from Cody, Wyoming via Route 14. And, I use the east entrance to enter Yellowstone. I stay one night in the town of West Yellowstone. And, I use the South Entrance to exit, pass the grand Teton National park, and spend the next evenin...
Goodbye Montreal (My Last Trip to Montreal, at Least for a While)
Переглядів 682 роки тому
Montreal is a city that means a lot to me. My first visit to Montreal was 2008. And, this year is 2022. In this video, I try to do everything I've always wanted to do, before leaving this city. Because I won't be able to come back for a very long time since I am moving to the West Coast very soon. If there is such thing as a break-up with a city, this is it. 0:00 Intro 0:14 “Playing a Piano on ...
Brief Tour of Concord Massachusetts
Переглядів 4832 роки тому
In this video, I took an impromptu trip to Concord, Massachusetts. I walked around this town, recorded what I liked seeing, and even tried going into an antique stores. (They have a couple of those stores, and In my opinion, they are very well curated. I felt It's different from the vintage stores in Portsmouth, NH. I recommend giving them a visit.) Later in the video, I briefly visited a facto...

thank you. Between Le Massif and Sugarloaf, I would just go to the one that's closer to you. For a relaxed/remote/peaceful retreat vibe, I would pick Sugarloaf. I think I preferred Le Massif because I found it's very easy to have conversation with Quebecois. I found restaurants in the tourist area of Maine/Vermont are excellent. Especially near Stowe, VT area. I had a hard time finding a place to dine near Le Massif. I believe the restaurants inside the Sugarloaf resort will rival or be possibly better than even the ones in Montreal/Quebec City.

People watching this video should keep in mind the the pitch is usually steeper than the video makes it appear. For those visiting Snowbird for the first time keep in mind that difficult rating is relative to available terrain. There is really no easy blue off the top of the Tram at Snowbird. Yes Chips Run is marked Blue but it’s actually just a groomed work road that goes back and forth across the mountain. If you drop over the side of Chips your in moguls. The Bird offers some real World Class Steep terrain. If you’re looking for more accessible terrain try the Gad Chairs which has more grooming. By the way it’s the Little Cloud lift which accesses challenging terrain. When I take first time intermediate/ advanced skiers we start out at entry # 1 and use the GAD lifts. From there you can ride the Little Cloud lift to access Mineral Basin or Little Cloud. Be aware when the light is flat visibility is very bad even if your familiar with the runs. If you’re on a double black expect rocks and tree branch’s that you may not see.

thank you for your insightful comment! I agree with "difficult raiting is relative to available terrain". a One-black trail might be more difficult than a double-black lane, depending on the condition. I had a first hand experience with that when i was there.
