Mother Doe and Fawn Separated, will they Reunite?
I do remember, We just watched the last World Series game on some station here. My cousin’s went to school with the guys from Chicago. I saw them in 1975 with The Beach Boys. Happy New Year, Steve.🎉
Thanks Mark! I gave up on baseball after the Cubs won the World Series. The game just moves too slow for me. Still love football and basketball. Ironically I was a Cardinals fan! The band Chicago I've never seen, and I've seen hundreds of concerts!
@ I liked watching Baseball because I sleep real well watching it. Always been a Bears fan since the Dick Butkus, Gale Sayer’s days. I also like the Vikings. I guess seeing the excitement, in the faces, of the baseball players is what I enjoy watching. Basketball is fun to watch, I’ve been to a few games. Seen Micheal Jordan, and LeBron James play.
"Straight up, what did you hope to learn about here?"
Great lyric!
@stevemcfate1961 it is, kinda hoping someone will say the next line :)
Come back to moline illinois this spring or summer you the best richard
@RichardSmith-fo2kt hi Richard how are you doing?
@stevemcfate1961 I am doing ok.can you get me on n at genesis at nights in silvis Richard still working at hyvee days
In my expert opinion, the most underrated band of that era. Great live show. R & R Hall of Fame, kiss my a$$. I was fortunate to meet most members who were interested in my plaster full body caster following back surgery. I was 17 years old. I was 6'2" and 110 lbs. I looked like a Holocaust survivor and Steve Walsh did the "what happened to you man" and wanted to hear the details, I guess. I was in a car accident and had some spinal cord damage. (I was back walking again) Anyway all those guys were just nice people, very kind to a star-struck kid. Leftovature is still in my top ten favorite albums. (That body cast was a head turner, during the year+ I wore the damn thing I met a slew of Classic Rock stars. My uncle had security contracts with a few venues, and I was able to hang backstage provided I act like a fly on the wall. So, they approached me. It was gnarly, from the back of my head to my butt, it weighed 7lbs Jimmy Page talked to me for a ½ hour after a show! He was still drenched. Greg Lake, Steve Howe, Ian Anderson, Lindsey Buckingham, Neil Young, Ritchie Blackmore, Dewey Bunell & Gerry Beckley from America. Tom Johnstone from Doobie Bros. I wish I'd have thought to have them all sign it. Those guys are just people too, but with a very cool job. Sorry, I got carried away there) 😜
@davidgilmour9447 Great story, and thank you for sharing! I'm happy these musicians brought you some joy in the most difficult of times! At 25, I contracted Guillian Barre Syndrome and was paralyzed from the neck down. With time and physical therapy, I made a near full recovery. I'm 63 now and retired, healthy and got sober 10 years ago this coming July. Kansas has been my favorite band since their Debut Album in 1974 when I was 13. Our stories are similar yet different, but I totally understand your perspective. BTW, David Gilmour is my favorite guitar player, and the best the the planet right now! I love his new Album, Luck and Strange
@@stevemcfate1961 You're the one with the great story. My cousin had GBS. He took his own life and his decline was heartbreaking. I'm the world's biggest David Gilmour fan and my buddy got tickets to the Hollywood Bowl show in Nov. as a Father's Day gift from his kids. 4 years ago his wife went in for minor surgery to repair a small hernia. The surgeon nicked her stomach, and the acid was allowed to go undiagnosed for a week as it destroyed her insides. Two weeks before the concert she died. I made him go anyway. And we got problems right? Congratulations on your recovery, that was a long road for sure. I too followed Kansas from the beginning and was bummed when Kerry left. The Hall of Fame is nonsense. It should be policed by musicians. Blondie and Joan Jett? Those guys hate prog rock. Thanks for taking time to respond and for the video. Take care!
Come back.journey to.moline illinois someday Richard c smith 0:43 0:45
I was at the Superbowl of rock, at Soldiers Field 1976. Ted Nugent, Lynyard Skynyrd, Journey (introducing Steve Perry), REO, and 38. Special. A hot day and people with milk jugs of water, which everyone tossed theirs up in the air after the show. Almost got hit by one in the stands. Great music 🎶
Audio doesn't do it justice....that was a great tour. Say what you will....all original guys or a couple, they put on a great show. Happy 50th.
@markgarin6355 agree, that was a cheap 15 yr old camera, I've since gotten an upgrade. Thanks for watching and the comments. It's tough to get a nice camera in a venue these days. Brought my good camera to Topeka in October, front row, they shut me down before I used it and tried to confiscate it. I demanded to see a venue official. He let me leave and take my camera to the hotel room and come back. I had to use my cellphone. I still got 65k views on my video of Kerry and Dave Hope sitting in on Carry on Wayward Son.
@stevemcfate1961 of course it wasn't a comment about the recorder, but just the impact on the video...I had to wait till 59th anniversary tour to see them. Great and favorite band
@markgarin6355 been my favorite band since 1974, first album, I was 13. First show I seen them was 1977. Hoping for some new music in 2025!
@stevemcfate1961 last album was fantastic. Yes I had the first eight albums as well. But my other favorite band, the guess who I couldn't see before the bto break up. But saw bto in my first concert in '75, talked with Gary Peterson and Jim Kale in Hawaii in 1991, and seeing Burton Cummings later this month. But the guess who live album was recorded at the Paramount theater in Seattle, and that's where I saw Kansas last year.
My wife, son and I attended the Copernicus show and what a show it was!!!
@merlin5729 my first time seeing the band since 2011. I was pleasantly surprised by the new lineup and the new material from the new album. There was an excitement surrounding the band. Sadly, in 2025, it's not the same. The talent is still there, but there are too many new faces for me. Rich Williams last man standing from the old guard, and even he misses shows. Father Time has caught up
@@stevemcfate1961 I feel your pain my brother. Rich missed 4 shows to my knowledge in 2024 and 2 of them were because of the storm damage to his property and difficulty getting flights out. I think the other 2 shows he was sick with "the flu". I've been a Kansasfan since 1976 and Leftoverture. First live show was Monolith Tour 1978 and I've seen every lineup live except the one currently touring with Brislin, Deninzon, McGowan. Personally, I have no problem with the direction Ehart and Willimas have been taking the band. The band itself, in the earliest days, corporately declared that Kansas is a band and the primary goal, besides making a living as working musicians, is to keep the music alive. Phil and Rich time after time in interviews refer to this perspective and consistently say that they want to see the music outlive them and they, especially Phil, have done an amazing job keeping the wheels turning. Personally, I love watching the new guys at work and look forward to watching as long as I can and catching another show or 2 along the way. Long live Kansas! Appreciate you bro, it's all good!
@merlin5729 I was at both shows in Topeka that Rich missed. Very unfortunate circumstances, I understand. I traveled 500 miles by AMTRAK and saw all the sites related to the band. I had wanted to do it for years. Recorded a lot of it here on my channel. 2 episodes, check it out. It is also unfortunate that when I purchased the tickets, Phil and Billy Greer were both still touring, so I, of course, was looking forward to seeing them on stage. Zero original members on stage after spending the $$$ for front row seats is disappointing, no matter how you slice it. Fortunately, Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope were there, and I got to meet both for the first time. For me, although not original, Billy Greer and David Ragsdale retiring were a big blow. They were as good as original in my mind after spending 30-40 years in the band. It was nice seeing Zak Rizvi back with the band, which takes a little of the sting away. I am an admin on the Kansas Facebook Group " Kansas is a Band" I will continue to support the band and looking forward to new music, but after these last 2 shows have made the decision to not attend anymore live concert performances. It's been a great run, and they will always be my favorite band. The trip to Topeka was still a great time!
One of my favorite songs. It reminds me of "The Warriors".
@cdelgado747 certainly paints a picture! Thanks for commenting!
Looking for adventure, head’n down the game trail. Just watched most haunted places in Illinois, and one of them is near Rockford, by the Rock River.
Rockford is a rough town! I went on a Paranormal investigation once on the RI Arsenal, Quarter One, former Military Commanders Residence. Largest Federal domicile in the Nation next to the White House. Civil War era Construction, definitely haunted!
@ maps.app.goo.gl/vR41piukeKP2ackG7?g_st=ic this place is supposedly haunted.

I remember when they first started back when MTv was still good.👍🏻
That first album, " Dawn Patrol" went straight to the top in 1982. They still are great today with all but 1 original members. I saw this show 1 year ago
@ You get some good shows out there by you. Over here in St. Charles we have the Arcadia theater. Right on the Fox River.
There’s a Fox River trail that is a nice bike ride.
@mchappycamper7645 I've heard of that trail and read a bit about it
@mchappycamper7645 I've been to the Arcadia for UFO in 2019
Hey Steve. Thanks for the cool videos. Are you providing your original music for these? If so, that's wonderful!
@chikkenyo no not yet, right now taking a music theory for Songwriters course. After that's over I will write a bit, then hit the studio, thanks for your interest!
Less is more. Perfect tree.
My sentiments exactly
Thanks Steve, for showing us some of American history, and historical sites. The mighty Mississippi is always grand to see.
@mchappycamper7645 thanks for watching! I hope you are well my friend!
It’s been a long couple of weeks. We learned my wife has leukemia. And has been in Chicago for the last nine days and will be there for another four we’re hoping she’ll be home for Christmas. You have a merry Christmas Steve.

@mchappycamper7645 keep busy on that guitar, you have some skills! Ever watch Rick Beato's channel?
Steve super thanks so much. отличное видео путешествия.
You are welcome, take care my friend!
Steve super.
Being this Trip is on smooth concrete I brought my Road Bike for speed. It's much lighter and faster than my other bikes which have the wide tires for traction on dirt, mud, and sand, gravel. I have 5 bikes. My XTC MTB is especially equipped for the Trail, climbing hills and Navigating tight turns. You can see it on my other videos. Since I filmed this, the weather turned to below zero, and we had an ice storm with strong winds. Then it warmed back up to similar weather like this. We can get 4 seasons in one day here in the Midwest :)
да заметил по видео на другой маршрут другой велосипед и снаряжение включая палатку и гитару. если так стремительно меняется погода то лучше иметь куртку с капюшоном. и шерстяные носки с ручной вязки и сверху хлопчатобумажные носки.
Last Winter I took a Propane heater with me when I went camping :)
у нас видел маленькую печь на солярке обогреватель только помещения и с собой вряд ли возьмёшь. хотя и не большой размер.
Mine is the "Little Buddy Heater" unit screws on to 1 pound tank and lasts 6 hours. Clips on my backpack. Safe to use inside the tent when vented adequately
Steve super.. здоровья и удачи. в путешествиях.
Thank you! New video coming out today!
отличное исполнение хорошей песни.
Thank you!
Many times with rock concerts, the guitar, bass, and drums overwhelm the vocals and sometimes keyboards. The vocalists will try to compensate by singing louder but they end up singing off pitch or just sounding less pleasant. Sometimes it is so bad that any listener unfamiliar with the melody would have a hard time picking it up as it is heavily buried underneath the bass and distortion. I state this complaint as the background for complimenting Kansas' performance here. They sound terrific. The vocals are great. I can actually hear the lyrics. Imagine that.
Looking at a foggy morning , 45° , visibility about 1/4 mile . If the temp drops it'll turn icy !! Love it so pretty !
@ImaOkie warming trend for a couple days here in Northwest Illinois. 58 yesterday and sunny, went for a 15 mile bike ride. Today will be 53 and mostly sunny. Going out today also. Winter returns tomorrow! Thanks for watching and commenting!
