    does the end works if its like 12 inches deep in the ground. because i got low slope and by the time i get to the sidewalk its like 12" deep - i'm wondering does gravity or the weight of the water help pushes the water out

    Awesome until debris gets clogged up behind that popup and backs up the system, wouldn’t have to think about that if the outfall was open ended on a little bed of riprap. 😊

    Hey Dustin, the French drain system that I want to put in will be ending with solid pvc pipe to bring it out to the road. Problem is it will be about 2 ft deep. Does attaching a 90 degree coupling and using more pvc (with holes drilled in and rocks underneath) work to bring the water up and out of an emitter? Thanks

    • @jerseyshoredrainagesolutions
      @jerseyshoredrainagesolutions 16 днів тому

      @@pealerboidayton331 it must be solid at the end (with holes for water to drain into ground also but not to many) so the water can have the ability to build up and drain out the pop up

    Thanks for the content. When you wrap the fabric over, do you cut a hole in the fabric for the lid to fit through? Also how to do make sure dirt and sediment don't seep in on the edges of the fabric up top? Do you fold in into the sides?

    If you are sticking with pvc and not baughman pipe at least stick a T with a dry well under it right before the pop up so it will always drain. The pop up is secondary and the well will keep it clean. 🥰

  • @cranexdragon1046

    That seems like a terrible design. The main pipe looks too small for that many inlets. I mean lets talk a torrential down pour and each is being filled at the same time it would seem you have standing water. A single hose is filling one of those inlets and is filling all subsequent basins to the top of the basin. Now add two more inlets at a 4” diameter GPM. Thats insane. You are taking an effectly 12” pipe and cramming the GPM into a 4” run.

      It's a 2" pump. Having a bigger pipe wouldn't change anything. The 3-4" lines that are gravity fed makes sense to be a bit bigger. The pump should move that water pretty quickly even through a 2" pipe. Given the line doesn't get full of trash

    • @jerseyshoredrainagesolutions

    Do you dig those trenches by hand? What do you do if you can't always get 1/8"/ft pitch from spout to road? Would you need a drywell or pump type catch basin?

    thats a TERRIBLE solution. in australia storm water drainage into the street is the norm and the solution doesn't inlvolve a sump pump or a riser resulting in standing water in the pipes the storm water drain pipes run direct to the street and have a outlet built into the curb all houses have a natural fall to the street so that gravity just naturally drains away storm water from the roof.
