    Who knitted your high Viz and dropped a few stitches? I thought this was a tail lift training video.. 75% of it is everything but the tail lift.. If someone is driving a truck with a tail lift you can probably stake your mortgage that they know how to get out of the cab. If someone actually needs to learn from this video they definitely bluffed their way through the interview. 5 minutes in and he still hasn't got to the tail lift..

    Great video - you should do another one with an electric pallet truck. You are spoiling your drivers now - they are going soft! Life is too easy!!!

    Good video. Any tips on getting off the first pallet onto the tail lift? I really struggle with this as the pallets are loaded right to the doors so when getting the first ones off, you have to pull them onto the ramp and there is not room to turn them.

    Ok little tip here that I have worked out over the years. If you do have to unload a heavy pallet on a bit of an incline either way, you can adjust the vehicle air suspension to level the rear of the vehicle and assist you

    I remember years ago delivering down at the exhibition centre London using tail lift unloading great I thought. Jumped back in to the cab tried to start truck flat battery 🤬 The company told me after oh yeah the battery is crap on that truck. I waited till midnight before breakdown truck came. Lesson learned.

      @@mathewparry9534 yea but i still have questions. I was out in a daf truck and i couldnt find a sticker tellin me what weight the taillift could take. I had a pallet of water at 1 tonne. In the end i put it on but didnt know what the limit was. Also.. if i am delivering a palet on a tight road, half the taillift is on the path the other half on the road nightmare of a time trying to get the pallet on the path, suggestions? Allowed to leave a pallet on the road? Many more questions

    All product inside the curtain trailer must be properly secured just as if it were on a flatbed trailer. The curtain is not there to contain any product, but only to keep the product weathertight. If you need to check for bulges etc. in fear of product falling out prior to loosening the curtain,, then one should not be operating this type of trailer. Simply put, it is basically a flatbed trailer that is enclosed for weather protection, to eliminate having to tarp your flatbed load. DOT can, and will, inspect the inside of your curtain trailer for proper securemen , as a conclusion to a Level 1 inspection. Message me for any questions. And to the original poster, thanks for the video.

      Yes but in the real world goods can slip and fall, that is why you should check to see if there is any evidence of goods become loose to keep yourself safe, we run XL trailers and the curtains is and can be the restraint system. So always check for bulges etc. to keep your self safe

    • @doogiehowser78

      In new zealand it depends on the load and configuration of the load whether your legally required to strap down inside or not

    • @doogiehowser78
      @doogiehowser78 2 роки тому

      Thanks for the tips it's always good to learn new ways , I'll try your way of restraining the curtain back , I've been pulling mine back behind the truck with the poll wrapped upside the curtain then holding it with a bungy
