You're right. I've found that a lot of it depends on its setup and largely whether or not you set the Phenex railguns to fire linked versus alternating; alternating shots are survivable while linked shots oneshot almost everything.

@CobaltPalladium you either need to overwhelm with sheer numbers or really high quality and fast ships. The solveria I fought struggled to hit my automata capital. So I went behind it and just chugged Reaper torpedoes at my problem.

The supercapitals from Ship and Weapons pack are all wonderfully designed- and they tend to fit the base game's aesthetic really well. I'm a total sucker for the cool designs of the Solvernia and the Gown from Scalartech Solutions, though.

Just watch SsethTzeentach's video on starsector, go to the most replayed part of his video and use his key, and if you like it, consider buying your own key to support the developers.

go watch the review by SsethTzeentach, in the end he shows his key so you can play it for free. I still bought a key after trying it out tho because it is really fun and deserves some support

It's totaly worth getting, I would say that it already has more content than most AAA games on the market and keeps growing. Do not treat it as EA game but as fully developed game that is and will be getting updates. Not to mention that there is more than few mods that could be standalone games at this point.

If it means anything, it's the best $15 I've ever spent, bar none.

@@idhamkhalid3025 Ducketts are the slower-firing variant that most folks tend to use, but Coquillets do indeed fire this fast if you alternate your shots. Highly recommended.

It’s honestly one of the hardest missions in the game if you don’t lean into explosives, and even then I tend to have a harder time with it than bosses.

When I saw the strange AC kicking me, and the autonomous grinder wheels running around spewing flames, I know this mission is a lot of bullshit… My first reaction is also “what is that thing?”

You can tetrapod hover, do all missiles and just close your eyes and press buttons and win this level easy

I’m a sucker for dual trigger builds, so I gotta recommend dual ludlows if you haven't tried it yet. That with a laser slicer goes nasty.
