That was the exact model and colour I rode for two years in 1980-81. Very reliable and comfortable. Brought back some memories picking it up brand new in Manchester and riding it about the Lakes and Scottish Highlands.
I had a red one the same for 10 years...It was a daily rider and was immaculate. I sold it at 90,000kms and it never missed a beat. In fact of all the bikes I've owned, it was the most practical of all of them. Mid range bikes are just so much easier to ride. Nice bike...Cheers.
The exhaust is not original. They are not supposed to cross and my old 81' also had that.

Your bike is in fantastic shape. I had a red one also and drove it daily. Solid machine. After 35,000 miles I sold it when the Magna's came out.
