Remaking the train scene from Spirited Away in Blender/My process
In this video I will show you how I recreated this iconic scene from Spirited Away in Blender 3D.
I've been dreaming of recreating this scene for a while now and I can't believe I've finally done it :)
Let me know if I should make more videos like this with other scenes and, as always, feel free to give me feedback in the comments!

When I duplicate sprites, they don't have legs animation( only the first one does). What am I doing wrong?
no no, you did REALLLY good I thought the original was on the left at first until I read it 😭
@@MikeCore Haha thank you! Yeah I realise now that I paid a bit too much attention to all the small differences which at first sight are not really that visible, but I wanted to be fair.
estou impressionado com seu trabalho! Can i connect with you on Discord (if you have it) or other social media?
I used Translucent instead of Transparent 😂. Problem solved.
Wow this is incredible! As a beginner 2d animator, I'm glad you're paying some love to the strengths of 2d animation--if only Hollywood would treat it with some respect! Teaching myself animation has made me respect 3D more, too, as i learn what goes into it! Super amazing work here!
@@princessthyemis Wow, thank you! I love this comment! I really admire 2d animation and I'd like to give it a try someday too
you really made exact scene as the reference you took. awesome job.. I can't even differentiate.
@@erikamei0 I'm glad, I really tried my best so it means a lot to hear this! Thanks! ❤
thanks a lot for this new banger
MAYBE go a bit slow next time
@@whatever_4th_subject You think so? I usually try to keep my videos straight to the point and not too complicated so maybe thats why they might seem a little fast. But i always try to to improve with every tutorial, so thanks for the feedback!
You can slow the video down.
Amazing work!! Thanks yt recommendations 🙏
noticeable differences ? where?
@@wajeehsaeed1201 Haha thank you! Well for example I couldn't replicate her reflection on the window, but I guess it's not really that noticeable unless you look very closely like I did. So I'm glad you didn't see any difference ❤
Caramba, que trabalho incrível! Fiquei inspirado em começar a estudar!

The shadow option is different in Blender 4.2.3. How to set it?
@@HarryMcKenzieTV You can go to the light settings and set the radius, filter and resolution limit to 0
@@Arrietty3d wow that works perfectly thank you so much for your response very appreciated <3
You're welcome ❤️
why not just use the Line Art modifier?
@@HarryMcKenzieTV Good point, well back when I made this video I didn't really know much about grease pencil since I wasn't really using it (I was quite shocked when I discovered just how easy it was to add line art 😂) So yes, it's much easier to just add a line art modifier, but the solidify modifier method is also useful in some cases.
@@Arrietty3d cool thanks for clarifying :D
Very nice video bro, straight forward and simple :o
@@Nameless_nerd3708 Thank you!
Great content, please don't stop ❤❤
@@MELONS-s8y Thank you so much ❤
You could also add a gamma node between the diffuse bsdf and the shader to rgb node to make you able to change the light
That looks great
@@TushyaJha Thank you ❤
thank you so much! this helped me a looot I was struggling with grease pencil and this way is so much easier and better

Nice
Thank You very much. This is what I needed.
@@jacquecortez5014 I'm glad, you're welcome!
Personally it doesn't do the same thing to me as it did to you at 0:45 as soon as my cursor passes a certain threshold the object becomes completely white or completely black but it doesn't make a shadow😢
@@enaeco17 Well that's strange, are you sure you're using Eevee render engine? Because this type of shading doesn't work in cycles
Nice 👍
@@x_blade Thanks!
WOW!!!!! IT'S MAGNIFIC ❤❤❤ THANKS ❤❤❤
