Thank you, observed just hatched snappers being taken by blackbirds myself more than once. Found so many raided nests in my garden by raccoons. Another one; although I look as closely as I can, I shredded quite a few in my lawn mower. Tried those boxes as described but the raccoons had no problems raiding those. I have 21 acres of which 20 are considered “significant” wetlands. On my 1 acre of gras an gravel roads I have over 15 nests but many do not survive till hatching and even those last meters have a high mortality.

I feel the recognition of the value of community newspapers is long overdue and the solution may be right before us as to the how to, to resurrect local newspapers/community papers to share information as has been suggested during your presentation. Online is not a solution because of the shortfalls still present. I am happy to work with a group to find and implement a good response to this need. When the weather is warm a smart idea is to put aside buckets of dirt for your winter walkway.

The only way Asian Carp are going to be controlled is if their natural predator is brought in the Weels Catfish that can grow to over 500 pounds. Its been shown that where they have been introduced they don't affect game fish numbers or size. Trout, Pike and Bass avoid them and can easily outmaneuver them .

What about Common Carp one of the most destructive fish? They have been here so long people are starting to accept them and that shouldn't be allowed to happen. It used to be if they were caught it was required to kill them and now I see people throwing them back and they need to be controlled along with Tench which should also be killed to keep their numbers down too. People should get fined for returning either of them to the water.
