A better way you can do is take aluminum foil and fold it up and put it underneath the basket which will raise it up every time you use it.

Your method worked! After I took apart and cleaned the touch screen, too... The only problem is, my door seems lose that even the butter knife works temporarily. What works best is the first method of holding the door open, but for the entire frying time... the moment i let go, few seconds later, the door seal undoes and the unit senses that... is there a way to tighten the door, or to calibrate the metal prongs that hold on to the door? There seems to be very little seal power...

I've done a lot of similar things to keep it going but the more time goes by the harder it gets. So annoying because it's a great little oven otherwise.

The easiest permanent fix is to loosen and retighten the top middle inside screw on the air fryer door. No need for this constant rigging.

UPDATE* anyone have a removable slide draw instead of lift down door? Once I find a phillips head I'm going to remove 2 little screws on panel that keeps draw engaged and see if loosening one of the 'teeth' (one is loose, the other stiffer) will fix my problems, thanks for the heads up - finger crossed * turns out everyone in the house but me knew the o/off light is out and you just have to touch where it should be...lol...I put some tape there for a reminder
