I’ve been listening for 5 years now. Love his voice. But to be honest John, your worldview- your spirituality…ALL of it can be accomplished while sitting on the toilet! I rather stay with the Bible for my spiritual food beautiful voice though! I know John well enough, I can imagine him responding to this with a wink, wink and a thumbs up, thinking that’s your truth. NO! Scripture is GODS TRUTH 2 Tim 3: 16ff. It’s just that you John cannot smell your own shit!

John, feeding the ducks at the riverside or a nice ride in the country IS meditation as long as you relax and let go of hangups IS meditation. And just because it is temporary makes no difference...half asleep in church is temporary too. Its not for any one to say it is not. Negative is what you want to avoid? Start by avoiding what is not meditation. If it doesn't fit into your way of meditating, just don't worry about it. You still have that bad habit.

I come for John's voice, but I am repeatedly repulsed by his blending Christianity with mysticism. He says a lot of things about the Bible and theology that aren't true, like near the end where he talks about there being no "do nots" in the New Testament. There are plenty of things Christians are told not to do or partake in throughout the New Testament.

John's wisdom is the best combination of ancient Greek philosophy and Christianity... Absolutely magnificent!!!

Great voice to listen to and undoubtedly a sweet guy but his theological grasp is more a collective of mystical jabberwocky salads than any philosophical understanding. This or that from here and there. I’m glad he’s at peace though.

Just because he’s old it doesn’t mean it’s wise, it’s just utter twaddle most of things he spouts.

I absolutely love this man. His voice is just... I don't know, it gives a tear to my eye with how calming he is. But I also just love listening to what he's actually talking about. Reminds me of my great grandfather when he was still alive. I'm blessed to have come across this channel, and subsequently this absolutely charming man. Hope you're doing amazing and I wish the deepest of gratitude to John and whoever else is running this channel.

Is John no longer with us?

The concepts I've heard John discuss are very tangental to Buddhism, especially in this video. It's cool to see someone arrive to the same conclusions that Eastern spirituality/philosophy does, but from a different perspective. Can anyone reading this tell me if John ever directly references Buddhism? I've taken time away from John's videos and return to them every so often, so please forgive the ignorance in my inquiry.
