During covid lockdown I made what I call the He 177C . Its got 4 x BMW801E engines, a taller single tail fin, 3 x FDL remotely controlled turrets in chin, dorsal and ventral positions and a HL 131V quad mount in the tail. This was a what if project based on the “best bits” of the various V prototypes. I used old Revell He-177 a5 and a6 kits along with B-24 wings (which had exactly the same wing root profiles as on the He-177) Also very redesigned cockpit & crew positions scratch built. I intend to make a video about it if I get enough interest. Cheers from Australia
For me all about this subject is entresting. I chose make a model referring to the available iconography, but anyway also the what if versions are very interesting.
@@lanaantonmodelthank you for your swift reply. My He-177C model certainly isn’t as beautifully detailed as your He-277. I made mine just to see what it could look like. It was enjoyable doing the research and redesigning the crew layout. Please keep up your own high quality work.

Where and how you buy this model?
The model is made for a friend. This model is based on a Revel's kit of Heinkel He 177 in 1:72 bought on e-bay, plus Conversion set of Antares Models (antaresmodels.com/web/index.php/seccion?id=17)
Isn't it supposed to have 2 vertical stabilizers ?
The topic is much debated and controversial. Heinkel experimented with various solutions for stabilizing the aircraft. But before the end of the war he failed to build them. The type with two stabilizers was rebuilt by the Allies, after the war, in France. So I made the type of which there is a vintage photo as seen at the end of the video.
@@lanaantonmodel No, sorry my bad, my fingers reacted too fast. There's a plethora of types and the 247 has the double vertical stabilizers.
no, He-277 in real life got single centered stabilizer, the rest is Luftwaffe46 plans
@@trikkke11 Heinkel 274 you mean? yes but that's completely different type.... longer and wingspan is bigger (He-277B had twin stabilizers but those weren't released)
