Building Clouds - Montreal - Summer 2024
Various timelapse videos of clouds taken over the course of the summer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The videos have been put in an order that the clouds slowly build in significance as the video progresses. All the way to rain clouds with lightning. The video montage has been set to the song"Clouds" which is featured on the Album as well as in the documentary Koyaanisqatsi which was released in 1982. The part of the documentary where this song plays was the inspiration for this video. I hope you enjoy it.

SOL through my telescope 07-28-2024
Переглядів 34Місяць тому
Video I took on the afternoon of July 28th, 2024 through my telescope of the Sun. I did this with a solar filter specially designed for observing it safely. You will notice that the Sun is moving from left to right in the video. It isn't the telescope that is moving. It's fixed in place. It's not the Sun either. What you are seeing is the Earth's rotation causing the image of the Sun to move. A...

Aurora pictures - May 10th, 2024 near Montreal

A video montage of pictures I took during the big solar storm which occurred on May 10th, 2024. All pictures were taken in Rigaud, Quebec, Canada which is about 50km west of Montreal. As this was my first time taking pictures of the Aurora, I had to experiment with different camera settings. Some pictures are longer exposures than others. Which is why there are star trails in some of the pictur...

The pictures and video were taken through my digital SLR camera which was equiped with a 1:...

Building the Lego Concorde

Slideshow of the assembly of the Lego Concorde. There are 21 separate bags in the box for this model. So 21 separate build sections. For each bag, I lay out all the bricks grouping them by color and type. I then took a picture of all that bag's bricks laid out. I then showed the Concorde once all the bricks from that bag have been assembled and added to it. This allows us to see the gradual pro...
Aero Gatineau 2023 - RCAF Snowbirds Post Performance Smoke Show

The Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds acrobatic team performing a new element I've never seen them do before. After another amazing performance at the Aero Gatineau air show on Saturday September 16th, 2023, the 8 jets stopped on the taxiway right across from where I was situated. They throttled up and gave us a nice dose of air show performance smoke. Thanks to the wind, we got smoked like fr...

FYI standard altimeter varies in Europe and most of the world. The 18,000 altitude only applied to North America where you set standard. Cool video!
yeah, i mean that master caution lamp is just bullshit anyway.
I’m from Marieville, and had no rain nor thunderstorm yesterday 😳. It was impressive thought!
Just incredible footage!
Amazing work K👌
👍👍
I enjoyed it ❤
What date did you arrive at?
The EU vipers and their greek government counterparts( also vipers) wanted to close one of Europe's most glorious airlines. What a disgrace. Onassis would be turning in his grave. Olympic may not have had the best service per se but it was a safe airline. You knew that you would arrive safely at your destination. They let it die a slow death. Are you telling me there's no corruption in other airlines or other countries?

I was about 8 years old when we moved to to an apartment building right below the flight path of this runway, I saw many planes in the afternoon, it was my first time ever seeing a plane up close. I lost interest in planes and gained interests in basketball and trains as I grew older because I ever got another chance to see another a320 or dash8 go over my house again, do you know if this runway is still closed? thanks.
Yes it's still closed and will likely stay that way on a permanent basis.
The flights to and from YUL in October 2009 were actual LTU Flights - in the livery of AirBerlin. You can hear it also on ATC calls. The reason behind that: AiBerlin had rights to Canada on scheduled flights, not on charter flights. Because at that time, LTU still existed and had Charter Rights to fly into Cnada, they had to put those flights under LTU callsign and LTU AoC. Those flights from YUL were actually the last flights under LTU Callsign. Flights DUS-YUL and LGW-YUL (British tourists) and return to MUC and DUS on October 13th, 2009. .
Wow, did not know that. Thanks for sharing that info.
Did you get any footage of the Lysander, or the Spitfire-Hurricane?
I did get the Lysander on the Saturday. You can see it in the video here: ua-cam.com/video/niSGcJ_rAZA/v-deo.html
Back in 1974 My Dad,sister and friend were returning from HNL to LAX via Continental Airlines. As we approached LAX, we got caught in a major storm. The captain came on the PA system and announced we were being diverted to Salt Lake City. My friend started crying saying she didn't know anybody in Utah. All of a sudden the captain came back on and said there is an opening in the clouds. Prepare for emergency landing. I remember removing my glasses (I am severely nearsighted), and my shoes. My friend decided to start screaming. A flight attended had to go over to where were sitting and tell my friend to calm down, and remove her glasses and shoes. My friend never stopped screaming. But, she did remove her glasses and shoes. The plane's nose was pointed down, and the captain made a beeline for the runway. The next thing I saw was LAX's famous restaurant going by. The plane was traveling at a good clip. The plane never stopped until we got to the gate. By the way while approaching LAX, the plane was struck by lightning and knocked everything out. In the passenger area the airline Attendant had to use flashlights Fun times
Awesome
Gorgeous!
Looks great in old colors!
Not on this one ! And V1 is close to Vr ....except in wet runways , performance or failure (MEL) limited
Thanks for replying....excellent videos but not me! I have logged 80 t/o & l/d S in YUL between 2004-2009 but not them .....!
awesome video slide compilations
Dear photographer please add the dates taken if you have them. It’s historical to me as a Cpt and my colleagues to know who was flying. It is an excellent job what you did!
Please add the date if you have it.....I was flying a lot at this time as a commander. I will appreciate this
Hello Giannis. This video was recorded on July 9th, 2009.
Please add date taken, I was flying a lot as a CMD this month to/from YUL. I will appreciate this!.....Olympic had about 4.500 Personel when it ceased ops and I know well that we had not “boyfriends & girlfriends “ like most of the airlines globally , even today. I traveled 3 years ago as a “body pass”....
Hello Giannis. This video was taken on June 24th, 2008.
Please give the date if you know. I was the CMD and pilot flying of this aircraft (C) out of Montreal on 16 & 18 of July. It will be a life gift if I will have a video of my own!
Hello. This video was recorded on July 23rd, 2009.

Extremely jealous you got to fly on a MAX
Well I was pretty thrilled about it at the time ... but now ... considering what has gone on since then ... I am quite disturbed that I flew on i. But I will say it was a very smooth and uneventful flight.
That’s insane to see after all these years!

Is Eastern a canadian owned airliner now? From the pics there are a lot of Eastern planes there?
No they are American owned. Sunwing Airlines had contracted their three aircraft to do some flights for them in 2019 due the grounding of their B737MAX aircraft.
@@YULspotter Cool. It's just most of the videos have Eastern in Canada. I haven't seen them down here quite as much. They must be a charter company still. Thanks!
1:10 I wanna have that plane
R.I.P Thomas Cook🤧😭💔💯
Bad camera work!
Wow
This video is a great example of how the DC-9 deploys its reversers in the air. Note how the reversers are deployed before the nose wheels touch down. The DC-9 doesn't know it's is on the ground until the nose gear touches down. It does not have a WOW switch on the main mounts as most other larger commercial aircraft do. It has a Ground Shift Mechanism on the nose gear that tell the aircraft and its systems when the aircraft is in the air or on the ground. Since the nose is in the air, the reversers are deploying while in air mode.
Anyone know the rego?
