I used to rent a condo in Linden towers. Then, I brought a house in Colonia. I left N.J. for Arizona in 2004. I saw the writing on the wall about the high real estate taxes. Sold my house for a big profit and paid cash for a brand new and over 3000 square feet in Gilbert, AZ. People thought I was crazy at that time. That way best move I ever made. The real estate taxes at that old house 4x since I left. It didn't increase as much in value as my house in Arizona. My house is worth more than my old home and I pay only 1000 a year in real estate taxes. Add the terrible weather, I don't think N.J. is a good investment anymore. Isn't N.J. one of the highest ranked states that people are leaving?
