Greetings. Where can I purchase these devices? Thank you
Useless vid...takes 5 secs to smash that glass !!!!
🤣😆
Does the left have four mm while the right has eight mm?
This door is installed inside-out
This is factually incorrect. Only a small proportion of patio door break-ins involve the breaking of glass. Professional burglars can break in, with no noise, (except an alarm) within 30 seconds. Why would they alert the neighborhood, with a big bang, to what they want to achieve covertly?
I am in the security gate business, and most burglars will break the glass to gain entry.
So, What would you do?
@@paulszo install high security internal sliding gates. physicall security is the best way.
Just break the glass!
Your web store is horrific, it looks like a Chinese scam site. First, the pictures are real bad. Second, there is only one picture of the product instead of several to include the diagram of the product itself. Third, you wold do better to sell on Amazon so people outside the UK could buy from you.
those look like great ideas. and I can't be the only one who remembers Patty O'Door ?
A hammer wrapped in a towel at 2pm when nobody is home defeats your nonsense system.
To bad the US can't make locks like this.. I'm having a heck of a time trying to find something that isn't a cheap Chinese pile of crap
Lol, Patty O'Door.
What is the company name
I want a way to lock the sliding door in a timer so each night it lowers a bar (or another method) down and thus barricades the door shut. I am always walking down 2 floors to the basement and lowering the bar and when I forget the house could be broken into. I was thinking of a motor that wound a string and pulley and each night the motor would turn on and unwind the string that is attached to the bar and gravity would pull the bar down inside the opening between the doors and thus locking it.
Where is your website?
"Thats how I keep them burglars from stealing me whiskey."-SecureYourHome
Great for when you are at home, but what if you are not there. How do you secure the door from the outside when you leave? For a "security" company, they don't think like criminals do. Pathetic.
Replace it with a steel door or bullet proof glass is the only way! General glass with any amount of locks/rods will not stop nothing.....
Where can I find this product?
Best way is stick a thick broom handle in the track at bottom of door.
Cheap, too.
... voice sounds like from Ireland
Most wellcome
What about the stationary door can't they just pry that up and out?
whats all those lock gonna do ? if the burglars are really into getting in the house they will just smash the glass and and be in.
What about security film and sliding folding gates.
Do you think an elderly person would get down on their hands and knees every time to unlock their slider? Design a kick open/close button then maybe.
Breaking the glass would overcome both these devices!
Breaking the glass and my pointing my shotgun nozzle to the intruder will augment those devices. :-)
@@xanthanx that works only if you are at home at the time.
@@geod3589 Duhhhh...🥴🥴🥴
Unless there is a total breakdown of law enforcement (or you live out in the sticks) no burglar will risk the commotion of breaking down a glass door.
install LEXANE instead of glass. Pound away with a ten pound sledge and all you get is a good work-out.
From what I know of trigonometry, a 180 degree viewer would be able to view flush to the door. A 290 degree viewer would be able to view behind itself! How is the 290 degree number arrived at?
It is angle of cone not the angle of view. Shape of the cone of door viewer is looking like 290 degree part of a circle. By this way its' gives you the maximum view. (Roughly 180 degree)

It's only been granted a one star rating out of a possible three stars by the BSI so it's not so good and insurance companies would not be very impressed. A lock needs three stars to keep the insurance guys reasonably happy.
Will you be coming from Ireland or Europe to install it? :) Thanks for the good information for both sides of the big puddle.
how do you explain this then: ua-cam.com/video/BPK1lLT55mQ/v-deo.html
For starters....2x4 put in door track to jam door shut. If you are really worried about glass breaking buy shatter resistant film to put over your glass. If someone really wants you they will burn you out of your home. Buy a gun and believe in Jesus Christ no matter what.
TJ Jones it’s a security measure against burglary, not zombie apocalypse 🤦♂️. Plus the 2x4 is a fail on this door as the outer leaf is the slider! Basically your have to have the wood on the outside for tit to work.
Alan punshon- I was just talking about in general. I know for the door I secured had a nice pocket where the door slide into on the inside of the home. All I had to do was measure cut and slide that piece of 2x4 into the grove that the door uses when open. It works great. I personally don't have the fancy film but if someone breaks in the glass then they are in more danger than I am if im home...... The wood is just for the criminal who sees an easy door. I have other tools for the determined person who plans on smashing the glass to get to me. BTW I would say 5-10% of the people in my area are addicted to hard drugs so I figured the 2x4 was necessary. If they don't mean ill will they still could try to get extra things of mine to pawn. But it's not so bad that I need to put bars over the window or security glass....yet.
Wow where are your safety glasses??
This sounds very nice, but what about the glass? Is it easy to break the glass?
Buy a shatter resistant film (Amazon sells the and other places) it goes on invisible and is highly resistant to shattering. Nothing is perfect if you want bullet proof you need to buy a new door. I hear 3M makes a quality one. If your not handy or good with measuring hire someone to apply it. It needs to be really really close to the exact size of your glass to work properly but is well worth buying to make it highly shatter resistant.
99% of burglaries happen at night with the occupants in the house, no burglar wants to brake glass. He wants to be silent.
Yes, if the burglar wants in, then they break the glass and no simple or fancy lock will keep them out. I use Burglabar Lexan adhesive locks. Super strong and ez to install.
That's the cutest, furriest burglar I've ever seen. God bless him/her always.
Yeah, you're right. The dog is a transgender. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hes saying "Cisa Astral s" by the way.
Supanova7G That was my only question, thanks.
Supanova7G so
The bottom Ives lock is not available in the US. Why not?
Okay I'm lost
I like the one up high. What's the model? You live too far away. I'd definitely pay you but you're too far
Love ur sweet pup 🐶❤️🐶 Thanks!
Your Cocker is really adorable! Where do I purchase your product? I'm in Calif. Thx!
Pacific Blue He's from across the pond. The patio doors are reversed so the bottom part would be different for us. The part that slides open is on the outside track. For the doors here in the States, the part that slides open is on the inside. All we really need is a bar to put on the inside track. That wouldn't work for their doors.
Sandra L but the other one is brilliant
Allen B my outdoor is the one that slides. Just moved into old apt. and the locks are gone from the previously drilled ives locks as he is showing on bottom. Previous rentor took with them. Darn now i gotta find at least one to replace already drilled holes. Have the bar across middle but too much play in sliding door track. Dont want anyone lifting that outer sliding door out and walking in. I think the ives is a good idea and gonna search for one or make my own. Did you ever find one? I'm in Tx...thanks
Ken P62 it’s easy to prevent the sliding door from being lifted out of the track. I saw a UA-cam video about it. Once I tell you what it is you’ll be amazed at how simple it is. Go to your blocs big box store and buy a couple of self tapping screws at least an inch long, or a little longer. Open your slider all the way. Next drill the self tapping screws into the top track. Space them so one screw is at 1/3 the width of the open track, them screw in the other screw at the 2/3 mark. This is key. Screw in the screws so they go through the top of the door frame into the stud, but don’t put the screw all the way in. Leave a little space, but screw in far enough so that your slider will slide past the two screws you put in. Now there will be room at the top of the slider for you to slide your door open and closed BUT the two screws will prevent the door from being lifted!!!!
Ivess Lock
What is the make and model of the lock used at the bottom of the sliding door frame? I'm trying to locate this type of lock but have been unsuccessful.
secureyourhome.ie/ they do have a name just check the website
wow..I like it....I want to install that on mine as well....thanks for the info!
Great ideas ... but please RE-SHOOT THIS VIDEO and make sure the SHADE CORD is taped up and away from the windows you are featuring. It was-is too distracting. In short, your message was lost to that cord. (Trust me on this, amigo, I'm a commercial director ... and your 'star' -- the locks, etc. was upstaged by the cord) D.A.
Yeah I came to say the message was good but not shown clearly in the recording due to angle and darkness. A bit slower demonstration might be useful as well. I completely didnt understand the last lock being demo'd
