Hi everybody. A little bit about myself. I've been playing guitar since 1996 and switched to bass since 2004. This developed into something of a passion in 2010 and after a break of 5 years, I've taken it up a notch.
Since i've never had any form of formal education, I intend to use this channel to learn and increase my skills, both in playing, recording and producing. Feel free to leave any (constructive) feedback and/or requests.
My focus is classic rock, (heavy) metal, blues and related genres.
I normally play with a pick.

Led Zeppeling Black Dog - Bass Cover
Might do some more Led Zeppelin in the future. With John Bonham and John Paul Jones they had a legendary rythm section and this song exhibits this.
The riffs aren't that hard, but the timing is, especially at the end of the breaks. It's always slightly different. In the mid-section for example, it almost collides with the singing part.
I'm still struggling to learn how to play fingerstyle bass, but I think the result is not too bad.
Except for a noise gate and bass amp plugin no effects were used. Not even an EQ

Multiscale tip: for an optimal result at the harmonics, position your fingers as if it were a regular bass. Logical but it is tempting to focus too much on the frets. Hey what is your thoughts of this bass after using 1 year or like that. Do you recommend it?
Love the sound, had to get used to the longer and wider neck but it plays very smooth. Very versatile and clear sound, heavy punch, nice balance. I do recommend it.

I put on a new set of strings (Dr. Hi-beams), used a bass amp plugin (otherwise it would sound too new), cut the deep bass and mid tones on my guitar a bit, set the midrange switch in lower position. The pickups (T1) pack a heavy punch but are also very versatile. Plus the multiscale gives a very nice string tension. And thank you

A plugin is actually an application in a digital audio ware program that you can use to add a wide range of effects. I used a plugin that emulates a bass amp.

whats the tunning?
Between standard E tuning and Eb tuning. It's a matter of finding the 'sweet spot'. It doesn't sound right with E tuning.

I love the sound and versatility. It packs a great punch and, gives enough definition at the high end and a nice roar to the low end. I did not have any issues with the multiscale, but needed time to adapt to an extra long scale bass with a wide neck.

Because the 605 can be a bit too punchy, definitely for the mid section.
@@snakepitonline i understand. I’m looking to get this bass hence I’m watching all sorts of videos and trying to get feedback. How easy is it to play multiscale, do you have any extraordinary stress in your fretting hand? Soundwise I’ve seen lots of clips, I dont know why but in all videos I see the bass sounds slightly thinner compared to other basses I’m eyeing. What is your honest opinion on the sound?
@@adityabali1939 I didn't need time to adjust to a multiscale neck. I did however need to adjust to a extra long and wider neck, but this also went well. Soundwise, it gives a more varied sound than a soundgear. The neck is smooth. It can be a little harder at the first frets and after the 15th fret, but the best thing is to try it out for yourself.
