Winning The Green Card Lottery And Having A Baby In The USA
Hello from New York City 🗽
Happy to hear the new figures have increased to $120,000.
Question: if a US citizen, who is living abroad, makes profit from stock trades in the the US, does she have to pay taxes on the gains to the US govt or to the tax authority in the country where she is living?
Hello
14:40 "You have to learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable if you're not already... At some point, you just really have to surrender and adopt a mentality of 'whatever's going to happen is going to happen' because so much of your life is out of your control especially towards the end. You are relying on governments and bureaucrats and movers and housecleaners and veterinarians, and so many things are essentially beyond your control. It's really a fantastic exercise in trust and patience."
Wow. Romanticism only gets you so far, a firm grip on reality and facts will get you everywhere. Thanks for helping to inform and protect expats, the majority of which are women 🌻
Great presentation and information. Thank you!
Sooo funny curry take out is fantastic not like British high street curry
Being in a country that is Strict and conservative when it comes to preserving the family is a wonderful thing. I love Oman I do also advise expats to find out about Islam before they go, as Islam and family are extremely important to the Omanis and Muslims
Niceee🫶💃🏾
Great interview. Thanks! 😊
Let me as a question Valenica suppose to real nice And weather❤ And all that But do you see other black people I.e women there
Unfortunately true.
true
A vast portion of it is uninhabitable, but true. You would think Canadians would welcome a bit of global warming....
Language struggle, never mind I choose USA.
My dream place.
Thanks for this podcast - when you said a comfortable middle class lifestyle would cost about US$5,000 per month - did that include rent - gracias!
It doesn't
Oman is great if you wanna stop by for a limited time vacation However, I advise you all to not move there... because there's a lot of Racism which people want to not talk about or avoid People are losing their jobs due to something called "Omanization" and the conditions for survival if you're a foreigner are very harsh In America , people can stand up to racism and even protest.... over in Oman people aren't even allowed to protest or speak for themselves... The Government supports locals and will do nothing for foreigners , I advise you all once again... go there for a Vacation but do not go there for Job opportunities or a "better life"...
Rather than "working things around" or finding a sponsor you could have asked her to marry you ;)
Its amazing that Aussies and Kiwis can come and work here but as a British Indian they stopped me going into thier countries and I only went as my grand mother was dying of cancer. They asked me and interogated me. I said why are you asking so many questions, I aint here to work and even if I were in the UK we have so many Kiwis and Aussies who come to work in England. They reply I got was we have to look after our own people and unemployed. We in the UK, had at teat time nearly the population of NZ 3.5 million unemployed which is the population of the the N.I of N.Z. I said we still let your lot in.The chap at immigration control sadi well your country is stupid then , we look after our people first. That line has haunted me ever since. How dim are the British. I was refused entry and my grand mother died two days after I arrived at Heathrow! How shitty is that!
I immigrated from Texas to the Czech Republic in my 50s. It is my ancestral homeland, and I live in Ostrava. Each day I study the language, and I am getting better at it. Even so, if I spent the same amount of time learning Indonesian, my husband's native language, I would be around C1 by now. In Czech I am somewhere between A2 and B1. Even so, I enjoy learning, so I just keep progressing. It just takes time. I will never return to the US, as I love my life here. Not perfect, but life here is very good.
Actually as an expat woman in Oman you can join your husband and any other relative in your visa. What they have said about this is NOT accurate!! Maybe they didn't check the rules propely.
Enjoyed listening. My brother teaches in SEOUL. He also married a Korean woman.

16 yr B&B veteran in the US. Loving this interview. There are similarities and commonalities in this business wherever in the world you operate. Thank you so much for this upload. ❤
How long can a foreigner stay in Peru?
I think it's always 6 month, I was in Peru, Lima, Iquitos.
What sort of visa does he have? I'm Canadian and I'd love to retire in Hong Kong but visas are an issue. I could go for the investor visa if I'm wealthy enough when I retire. Or I could go there "to learn Cantonese" with a student visa and after seven years gain right to abode.
You can't be a member of Danmark if you have a cronicol desease. I have has epilepsi since childhood, and I have nerver have the 'previlige'. So if you a sick, you are not allowed😂😒

Bull crap. I'm Danish. We have high taxes, a corrupt government, more and more kids with anxiety and stress. Not enough nurses. Not enough staff in nursery homes. To many doctors mistakes. We let down the mentally ill. We are materialistic. high divorce rates. We give all badly raised children the diagnosis ADHD. We really don't like Muslims but most pretend that they can. Happiest my ass!
