When you have devil parts hitting reverse instantly puts you into reverse. So I'm quickly tapping the reverse button to instantly stop and using that to turn really quickly

It's a result of using the gate skip glitch. I can't remember if it's emulator-only or not.

@@Killer7151 i did it once and it didn't do that (i'm using an actual ps2) so it might be emulator related? i dunno. either that or it has a random chance of happening.

It doesn't happen consistently, I think I only get it half the time

You can do a super boost. If you press boost, release the gas, then press+hold gas right after the boost happens you do a double-boost called a super boost. You learn about it from an infotron bot in Morio's lab

They don't go away. But at the end of Offices there is a fight against Tosla that unlocks the Golden Spring. You can use that to get past the spike field

@@Killer7151 i used to play it all the time 8-10 years ago. last time i played it was 6 years ago, but soon i'm going to get new wires for my ps2 and a new memory card (i lost the old wires and memory card).

@@kylercramer3800 if i didn't have the pal ver (which you stated was the slower ver) i'd try it out. only problem would be recording. speedrunning a childhood game sounds like fun.

@@flamible25 You can try emulating the US version if that's something you're able to do and are comfortable with. I mean, it sounds like you're from a PAL region, so you wouldn't be able to use an American console even if you had one

@SoxarPL different skaters have different positions for the SKATE letters. Jamie and Bam both have the fastest, so they are typically used. Street and Vert skaters also have different covershot goals

Yeah, the starting boost is really difficult to nail. Some tracks are relatively fine, but some others you have to reset over half of attempts just because of it. Takes a mixture of muscle memory and timing. For tough tracks I usually steer in one direction, and right when the race starts I throw the thumbstick in the opposite direction. As for the memory cards, you can just save your main game in the other slot anyways and trade through that.

I know! It's very hard and very inconsistent, but I knew doing the normal route wouldn't result in a new PB :)
