I'm curious of yellow ochre will do the same job? I have lots of that. My son just got his first apt and some of the furniture is very mcm and I'd like to paint him something... but in blue tons he like, with black.... not too busy or fussy, I feel like I have an idea, but overthink it and can't get it down on the canvas before I've lost it🤦🏻‍♀️ he's coming home next week so I need to hurry😲🤦🏻‍♀️ But thanks for this. I love Yellow ochre for mixing, but wouldn't have thought to use it in all the colors for that age look I like :) thanks a bunch!

Sorry, I just have to say, I think retarders and wetting agents are considered additives, not mediums. They change the chemical make up of your paint as opposed to acting as a softer or less viscous medium or the opposite. Mediums are basically paint without the pigment, additives are used to completely change the way your paint react and interact.
