It’s definitely not as thick walled as a premium ice chest. I’d say it would be great for a day but in the sun but be prepared for half of the bottom to be water.

The triple rod holders come as one piece and has pre drilled holes for mounting. I simply just drilled screws into the dry box and since its a double wall. The screws went through the outer wall and not the inner wall. Works great and stays water proof.

Hey Danny! This was December 27th 2021. Unfortunately the best time to fish south of Canyon lake is when the water is nice and cold. I can’t wait to get back out there.

Dang sounds like a rough day….. What time of year did you go ? I went with a local that knew the spots my first time and definitely helps. Also very knowledgable on how to read the water.

@@JesseGonzalezFishing I did a little further research and around the canyon dam they only plant the little ones there. I might give the lower guad a try someday but if I'm gonna drive that far I may as well go to colorado where they actually have strong populations of wild trout and big mountains or arkansas. Winter is the only time they plant trout in texas,plant them in July and they will fry

idk where ur fishing, but id say around rio resort in that area, there are good fish for half of the year before summer. I have caught many over 20"
