1 word-GRACE
I understand your relief!
😢😢😢😢😮😮😮
21 years of verbal and physical abuse. I ran for my life after 21 years. God helped me before we had to go to court and put him in jail for severe abuse.... He passed away the day before we applied for a court date. God carry us day after day. Psalm 68:20
i recognised it late but in time
The anger and sadness that I have as a result of what happened to Mary is great. Mary deserved so much more goodness. I hope her grandson never leaves prison. It's sickening that none of her family supported her. I have no doubt that some didn't believe her, but they didn't want anything to happen to the grandson.
Can you imagine, her own family not supporting her? What a bunch of evil people. Plus, it sounds like they were stealing her money too. Evil, evil, evil.
Why is this woman smiling while telling this horrible story?
I’d rather be broke and safe then financially sound or “taken care of” and broken emotionally and physically.
I see this was recorded 6 yrs ago. This is truly disgustingly EVIL 👹!!! He's a Demonic & so are his Family Members that were against the violently abused Grandmother!!! There's a place in Hell just for people like them. RIP Mary ☦️🕊️🫒💕
R.I.P. Mary, things like this just make me bewildered at the thought of the existence of a grand design/grand creator. What is the purpose of this suffering? What lesson to be taken? Just awful things playing out. Take care of your people
I know he’s going to reap what he’s sowed, I shutter at the thought of his punishment when God judges him and holds him accountable for what he’s done to his Grandmother! That’s going to last for eternity! Last note.. Please be kind to others, someone is always watching and taking notes.
So sad.The ola lady look so cute.I took care of my mom when she was dieing.❤❤❤❤
RIP Mrs Mary, you didn't deserve any of that pain,Rest high with Angels.
This makes me cry, just to think how many elderly are abused around the world...
Thank you for sharing your journey!
I just looked him up in the Florida Department of Corrections and seen his mugshot. Disgusting monster!
,Leave or put up with it
A wonderful woman of faith 🙏😘
Her faith is everything!!!!
This is so sad. The fact that her own family took the side of a rapist is unbelievable. Couldn’t have been my mama/ grandma.
Heartbreaking
He doesn't deserve the air that he is breathing!
Hopefully 🙏 prison justice will prevail and these scum bags will get justice 24/7 RIP Mary
Listening to her story from her own words was shocking and it hurts knowing she went through so much trauma. Bless her.
A male relative is married to an abusive bully. She attacked him once and he pushed her off and left. He said she was actually surprised he was stronger than she - she is fat 5’4” and he is a normal 6’ male. I wonder how many times her mom attacked her dad.
The horror of what this sweet old woman had to endure at the expense of these rotten folks is unforgivable i couldnt have the oppourtunity to see my grandparents into their later lives. I only wish i could have. For these animals to treat her so is unforgivable. Sexual assault is a monsterous thing for her to go through at her age i only wish i could get my hands on these folks they wouldnt ever even think of such a thing again there is a special place in hell for them this sweet old grandma dont deserve this 😢 💔 😔 im ashamed of them. I thank god you got her out of that dump and away from those monsters
What bastards.
The men think you're merchandise! They own you! NOT!!!!👹💩💩🤬👺
You go girl! I’m happy for you. I wish you could have discovered that there was help sooner. Live a content, happy life❤.
I would have said: Gee what a coincidence, I need $300 too.
Oh this sickens me. I hope they threw away the key! Sorry S.O.B.
I was married to a covern narcissist for 24 years. Talk about denial! He didn't put his hands on me because he knew I would call the cops but his verbal abuse and constant hell raising was intense. I wanted to die too. Everybody thinks he's a sweet guy. There's a demon inside him.
The 911 operator was awful. She needs to find other work.
The woman in this video is so cool and it makes me happy to see her thrive and her independence😊
Agree with you Kara
What an inspiring woman, and she will be a big help. People think older women are immune from assault, they sure are not. God bless you Linda, your faith is such a gift.
I'm so glad you got out safely!!
These are the kind of people that I despise I despise I be despised low IQ low everything just everything there's nothing right about these people if this is the way they're going to treat this elderly woman it disgusts me to the core
I’m 72 yo . I left my husband.. he was all those things described here.,plus didn’t work.. or work for months at the time…. His mom paid the rent for us .. I paid everything else .. I realized one day that I was doing all on my own and he just cause me problems… one day in an argument he told me : take me as I am or leave me… I left .. it has been about 43 years ago… I did cried and went into depression because my fantasy of a nice family was gone forever.. I tell you I learned to live alone and independent.. it was hard with no family in the area ,and 3 young children.. worked night shift to be able to take them to school and pick them up and so on… He was dating before the divorce was done and married 3 months later… he is still with his wife. He is 80 years old.. I leave in peace.
😢😢😢🩷🧡💜
"Denial is a sedative." A great statement and very true. I'll remember that for the rest of my life. I can also relate to living two lives - the private and the public. When people told me what a nice man my ex was, I would agree, but in my head I was saying, "to everyone but me." Bravo, for mustering your courage to see things with clarity, Mary Lou!!
This kind of talk about God FINALLY intervening always frustrates me. Why did God wait 65 years to say, enough? If God is the protector and loving father, we've been programmed to believe, he wasn't doing his job. Why didn't God say, enough, after the first black eye? It wasn't that Mary Lou wasn't listening to God all along, she wasn't listening to herself. Her abuser made sure she didn't. Women are programmed to stay and to protect the husband. And, that is dictated strongly by religion. "Mary Lou, enough" was Mary Lou saving herself from the expectations of society and religion, and the control of her abuser. That was Mary Lou's courage, which was inside her all along, but stomped on by her abuser, weakening her. She had simply had enough, understood what was going on through therapy, and she knew what she had to do.
RIP Mary. You deserved so much better I’m so sorry, I hope wherever you are is peaceful safe and gives you the love you deserve🩷❤️
Such a beautiful lady, I was feeling sorry for myself and sad and this snapped me out of it. How has our world become this evil. God bless you x you are amazing x
RIP MISS MARY
All them years that little lady lived and then has to endure a torture like this from some stupid criminal idiot insane person that needs to be put away for the rest of their lives and never see daylight prayers for you my lady
What I wonder when I hear about someone who is abusing another, "is what happened to them". We all are defined by our childhood, good or bad. I feel that people who abuse were themselves abused to some extent. Maybe it was verbal and so they grew up with a feeling of unworthiness, lack of empathy and compassion. It's the only way they feel they have some control. I'm not excusing them at all. I use babies and my marker....everyone was a baby and perfect and wonderful, but something or someone changed their worth. I try to see that and have compassion for them as wounded beings. Still not excusing, but wonder if there is someway to reach them as well to heal.
Although Mary lived the last three years of her life in a nursing home, I can’t help but wonder if they were some of her best years. Her relatives sound like they are worthless. We could not expect any of them to be kind to her, much less respect her in any way. Elder abuse is not rare. When elders allow family members to live in their home, it happens almost immediately that they loose their autonomy. Now the elder becomes an unwanted “ guest “ in their own home. In some families the elder would be safer and happier living among strangers.
Poor baby
There’s a special place in hell for people that harm the hurt children, elderly, and animals.
