Are you using one or two of the spacers?

My least traction rolling car has the PN flanged wheels with PN Low Profile Super Softs up front, and Nexx radial RS1 on stock rear wheels. Rears look like slicks, but man it hooks. Can almost turn steering drive to max. Turn in at high speed is butter 99% of the time. I still have to try the super glue for other cars. The combo of flanged wheels and low profile tires is just perfect.
