Переглядів 48821 день тому
December 7th, second week of winter in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario What a day, what a day! 🤩 I have volunteered to help packing the trails for fat bikes in Hiawatha, but I couldn’t imagine how much fun I would have! 6 hours outside snowshoeing in old school beauties, had the craziest snowmobile ride in my life and even tried to ride it myself 😅 Huge thanks to Darrel, David and Scott for giving me...

A fellow Sault Ste. Marie person I meant to say 😂
I still don’t get what you mean but thanks for commenting 😂😅😄
I live in the Sault Ste Marie
@ oh wow! That’s cool! So you witnessed that snowstorm as well ❄️ We moved to Soo just a year ago 😊
Everything Black is now white.
❤Hello friends
Hello! How do you like such driving conditions? 😅
@ It is a skill most southerners don’t have. They are impatient and in a hurry. Slow and steady always wins the race. Most years we get a little snow from December through March, but it can be measured in just inches. In March 1993 we had a blizzard of just over 3 feet and lost electricity for a week. Hardly anyone could dig out . We were paralyzed. The south is not equipped for such winters. Anyways I hope you are doing well and stay warm and safe. May God Bless you my friends!!!🙂❤️✝️
@ oh wow! Thanks for sharing these memories! Everything seems difficult when you have no experience
Superb work dear ❤
Thank you so much my friend! I appreciate your time and kind words 🫶
Magical winter! 😍
Yes, indeed ❄️🤩
It’s so wonderful to see someone exploring Canada from a different perspective like yours Lana. As someone who’s lived in Canada my entire life, I just love watching you explore places I grew up knowing, but through your fresh eyes. Sights and views that I’ve always taken for granted seem so fresh and new when I watch your videos. ❤ This was a wonderful adventure, especially with all that snow!! I’ve always wanted to try snowshoeing and now I want to more than ever! Such a great experience - thanks for sharing your trail ride with us! ❤
Thank you so much for your kind comment Catherine🫶That's awesome you're thinking about trying snowshoeing, it's such a great way to explore the winter wonderland! Just take the “old” one if you have a chance, they are game changers!
@ I noticed you were using the authentic “old” ones and wondered why, but if you say they make for a better experience, I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you Lana!
@TheQuébecCityDiaries We have a modern version of snowshoes and tried them last winder - we were so disappointed and didn’t get the sense of them as you weee still deep under the snow 😅 And this time my friend gave me these ones (they are about 80 years old!) and they changed my mind about snowshoeing 🤩 Yes, highly recommend for deep snow 👌
@ That’s incredible - 80 years old?! 😮That shows what excellent quality they are and how good the craftsmanship is to last that long!
Wow that’s a lot of snow. How deep does it get in Canada? I enjoyed watching friends!
Hello friends! Thanks for watching and commenting 🫶 Right now in Sault Ste Marie On is more than 1 meter deep!
This guy has no clue how to ride
Thanks for you opinion, but I would disagree 🤭
Cold,cold!❤It’s beautiful though!😁
You're right, it's chilly, but worth it for those views! 😄
What a delightful video! Those traditional snowshoes are so much better in the powdery snow than the more modern ones you see around. There's a whole lovely loop of the Voyageur Trail that goes by Farmer's Lake and down to Mabel Lake, and loops back toward Connor Rd. that we snowshoe each year - such a magical place 😍 Great video and nice job getting those trails packed down and ready for some bikes!
I love hearing about your local snowshoeing adventures! The Voyageur Trail is truly magical in the winter as well, I was impressed by its beautiful colours in fall. Hope to see you on the trails, we are going to snowshoe Dec14 as well 😊
Ah, you flatter… Thanks volunteering; it was a super fun day!
Flatter? No way, I don’t even have this word in my vocabulary 🤣 Thanks for this adventure, and for your comment 😊 See you next time!
Thank you 🙏 Jesus for such beauty
This was incredible indeed 🤩 thank you for watching and commenting 🫶
Oh so beautiful!❤
Thank you so much! I am mesmerised by this beauty each time 🤩
Hello friends. This is a very beautiful place! I enjoyed watching!❤️🙂
Thank you so much for watching🫶
Incredibly beautiful
Thank you! I am so lucky to catch the moment 🤩
Its gorgeous!
Absolutely! I could sit there until I freeze 😅
So beautiful
It's a magical time of year, isn't it? ❄️
Ah, amazing
Yeah, looks amazing, but digging it out was tough 😅
@Shusts_in_Canada ha. Fair
Pretty! 🙂❤️
Thanks, we enjoyed the sunset too! 🤩
Wow! The snow is getting deep. A winter wonderland! 🙂❤️
Hello! Yes - winter wonderland- that’s how I feel about it! ❄️
Nice to see the canyon again. I use to work in the canyon, part of the park staff. We would live there 10 days on 4 days off.
Wow, what a cool story! It's great to hear about someone's personal connection to such a beautiful place. Thanks for watching 🫶
When the tour train headed back to the soo we would have the park to ourselves (crew of 5 or 6 at any one time) Finish work at 4ish ,clean up eat and then sit out and watch the agawa river flow by . The most amazing night skies, no lights for miles
@stevel5771 sounds like my dream job 🤩 how many summers did you spend like this? Or winters as well (winter wonderland tour train)?
I did one extended summer season up there, just out of forestry college
Yes Well Done! My Daughter and Husband said did I want to go on this and I first said naw but I thought about it for a Week and said Yes and I sure am Happy I did join in this adventure : ) They had a 16 1/2 hour drive from were they live and I at about fourteen round trip all well worth it for sure and again You made a Very nice Presentation ! Cheers from Aurora Ontario!
Thanks so much for watching! The train trip is really something special, and I’m so happy you decided to join in. 🫶
Very cold. Hope you get it all unburried!
Actually it was just around 23F 😄 and our Bronco is covered by the fresh snow again😂
@@Shusts_in_Canada Anything below 90 degrees is cold in my book. LOL Oh, no! You have had a ton of snow.
@ lol don’t come to northern Ontario between October and June 🤣🤣🤣
