    А в чем проблема замены плитки?

    • @fixthisworld
      @fixthisworld 18 днів тому

      Есть как минимум три проблемы: 1. Ту же партию плитки с одинаковой фактурой и цветом можно не найти 2. Даже если такую же плитку можно будет купить повторно, это может занять много времени 3. Это может занять некоторое время; длительное время для замены плитки. Необходимо разобрать уже установленные водопроводные трубы и водонагреватели, а затем после замены плитки установить их заново. Знаете, материалы стоят не дорого, а труд дороже всего. Что касается обслуживания, то квалифицированному специалисту достаточно 1-2 часов.

    Hi, can you tell me what kind of glazing spray this is? And if I just want to coat over a small chip will it work?

    • @fixthisworld
      @fixthisworld 22 дні тому

      1. Glaze is a colorless or colored glassy thin layer covering the surface of ceramic products. It is made of mineral raw materials (feldspar, quartz, talc, kaolin, etc.) and raw materials in a certain proportion (some raw materials can be made into frits first). The glaze slurry is made by grinding, applied to the surface of the body, and calcined at a certain temperature. When your tiles are damaged and you repair them, you need to seal the result to make it as strong and durable as the original, so you need to spray a layer of glaze on the surface. 2. I am not really understand what will you cover, but I guess it could be work.

      I do furniture touch up and repair but mainly on wood. I am excited to see the same principles apply to other substrates! For lacquer overspray I use ‘no-blush’. Apparently it does the same as antifog except for lacquer overspray and blushing. In shopping for ceramic spray glaze I don’t see any products in the US for antiglaze. I also don’t notice on the can than it is included. I guess I can try and see.

      I would love to see you do a video on a broken ceramic vase or statue. I have clients that have me glue them together but it is not to the finish that you demonstrate in these videos.

    • @fixthisworld
      @fixthisworld 28 днів тому

      @@bpbehnes Regarding the bonding and repair of ceramic vases, I think the two most important points are: one is the firmness (or durability) of the bonding, which is related to the material of the glue. In addition, roughening the wound is also very important in some cases; the second is the similarity of the appearance after repair.

    What is the star sanding technique?

    • @fixthisworld
      @fixthisworld 28 днів тому

      The general meaning is: the grinding action includes up and down, left and right, left up and right down, right up and left down, just like the shape of a *. After such a grinding process, the surface after grinding will be more delicate. However, now I have changed this view and feel that doing so does not seem to make much sense.

    How long to return a seat or a vehicle on a service like this?

    • @fixthisworld
      @fixthisworld 25 днів тому

      This depends on the difficulty and complexity of the problem. However, in general, it takes 2-3 hours to repair scratches or cigarette burns. In the case of this video, if all the seats are refurbished, it will take longer because the area is large. BTW, sorry for late reply.

      @@georgewalker514 Sorry, I don't quite agree with your understanding. In this short video, "step 5. varnish spraying" is a typo. Varnish should be changed to glaze. The last step before the restoration is completed is to spray a high-hardness glaze on the surface of the table (depending on the production process of the table itself, some are poured with resin on the surface). This layer of glaze will protect the color and texture you painted very well.

    I have similar tiles in my house but after 6 months they looks like 10 years of using. Is there any way to give them the shine for years?

    • @fixthisworld
      @fixthisworld 2 місяці тому

      As far as I know, there are two possibilities for your situation: one is that you often rub it in your living environment (I mean, there may be a lot of fine sand and dust outside the house brought into the house); the other is that the quality of your tiles is not hard enough. If it‘s the latter, it is not difficult to make it shiny again, but hard to maintain it longer. However there is also a way, which is to spray a layer (multiple times) of high-hardness ceramic glaze on the whole after re-polishing. However, it may not be easy to spray it evenly.

      Do you mean pigments? In the past, we used oil-based pigments for rocks or ceramics, but because it is not friendly to the environment and people, we now use water-based pigments, or even your normal painting pigments, provided that it can stick to the wound after you fill it (you may ask, how can you ensure that it can stick? But this is another question. If you think it is necessary, tell me and I will explain it again), and finally seal it with a high-hardness glaze.

    • @fixthisworld

      This depends on the specific situation - usually if the tile is broken, it is because the ground below is uneven. After breaking, the two halves will basically find balance (but if they have been separated from the ground, it is another situation). At this time, the glue added can fix the two halves. If the glue is of good quality, I think it is not a problem to keep it for a long time.
