First Pilot Lesson | Flying from Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto
Переглядів 2,1 тис.2 роки тому
There are few perspectives that can truly capture the beauty of Toronto like a flight departing/landing from Billy Bishop Airport. Several weeks ago I got to take this experience to the next level by actually being the primary pilot through a 45 minute lesson at Island Air Flight School on a Cessna 172. While I've played Microsoft Flight Simulator quite a bit on my Xbox and have flown drones pr...

Are baby boomers breaking the real estate market? | Rylie's Review
Переглядів 1302 роки тому
An article by the National Post entitled "Aging in Place: How Baby Boomers are breaking Canada's real estate market" that came out earlier this year made the argument that the Baby Boomer generation (those born between 1946-1964) are creating a bottleneck in supply for housing in Canada & thus are responsible for the current housing crisis we are experiencing. I would highly recommend you go & ...

5 Things to know about living in Distillery District
These super tall, and ultra thin, structures are very interesting, quite impressive visually and esthetically! The engineering of them is academically fascinating! Unfortunately, they do not have any sense of a human scale, and do not relate well to the ground level community life scape!
Following, the horrific memories of 9-11. make these super structures, absolutely not an option for me!
Why not take Waterfront trail all the way to Port Union Rd? Safer, quieter than Woodbine / Danforth
I work setting up showrooms and delivery installation for Roch Bobois definitely love all of their pieces
Heres what i sent the orgwnziers This bike ride if yours is incredibly disruptive and intrusive to a vast number of people in this city. The philanthropic benefits are dwarfed by the inconvenience. It really is for you and your privileged, entitled patrons to feel good about themselves. I will be contacting my councillor to do everything in my power to make sure are no longer able to pull this nonsensical stunt in the future.
Great job with the video! Ive done this route many times and you filmed it very well, though there are axnumber of lovely sights that your itinerary missed. Also, the route from Hamilton to St Catherine's is best done through the Jordan Valley....way nicer than service roads. I should say that i almost skipped your video because of your channel name....i think you should devote a separate channel to bike videos, as you are great at it
Does anyone know if you need to fundraise to participate in the ride or can you just pay the registration fee?
There's a minimum donation required but i can't remember it off the top of my head
The hawk really like your drone😂
Do this ride all the time..there are much better routes though..you dont need to be on all those roads...the rouge path is not for cycling
I'm considering a trip from West GTA to Naples. Did you rely on Tesla's navigation for your route? I noticed you stopped 7 times to charge. I own a 2022 Model S, so I assumed I'd have fewer stops. However, my nav suggests 9 stops. Any insights?
congratz! i've done this trip too (from mississauga tho) with an urban bike!! LOL it was brutal but I had a great time haha
Does anyone know where is the biggest uphill during the raid to niagara? First time trying it.😅
Nice job guys I have this on my bucket list next year cheers great video
Yo same here
I’m doing the brain for health ride the DVP on June 4th
nice
Real estate bullshit!
Nice video and great job to both of you! I am planning to do this ride in summer, will be spending 6 months in Toronto. How did you get back to Toronto? Any chance to carry the bike with me by bus or is this not a thing in Canada?
I completed the ride! But we went the other way. We started in Niagara falls :D
I 100% agree, the trips on the elevators are a nightmare regarding time and totally agree with the maintenance issues
Nice work to you and your buddy! Good for you for overcoming the crash! $hit definitely happens! (I was attacked by an unleashed dog this past summer and twisted the ankle pretty bad). 6 months later and am back on the Fatty and ready for some nice long trips like yours next year! Take care! Awesome stuff!
Beautiful!
An epic video thanks for sharing 👍
Good luck and have fun with it! I started my PPL flight training out of Island Air and finished it over at Buttonville earlier this year. It’s a absolute blast, so stick with it! Heading out on a scenic night flight from Buttonville to Niagara Falls tonight 👍 BTW - OneWheel is the way to go! I’ve got the GT and specifically so I can take it in the plane!
Any suggestions on getting started with Island Air?

Good job nice shots please add me
Will be doing this trip from Hamilton in my 2018 Model 3 Performance & mirroring a lot of these stops you made. Good tire pressures btw 🧐Thanks kindly for making this cool video !
Have an awesome trip!
speaking as a traditionally trained upholsterer and cabinet maker that was magnifique Anthony the attention to detail is outstanding
Planning to do it the coming Labour day weekend! Hoping to take the GO bus/train on the way back. Is there any underground parking to park the bikes for the day?
Not too sure about this unfortunately! Best of luck with your ride 😃
Is this shot in horizon or acro bud, may i ask ur rates for that its perfect
Glad my condo building is a three storey walk up with a single elevator which I rarely even use.
I’m from Cambridge and would love to find someone to pair up and do this ride! It’s a full 7 hr ride. I’m not an expert at cycling but would love to find someone cool to bike along with 😄
I watch the video to know exactly how to pronounce the name of this amazing brand ^_^
It sounds like closing LSB inspired people to go a lot farther. I never imagined people went as far as Niagara Falls from LSB West.
Ha! I love how you cut out all of the hills at the end.
Maybe someone should watch the old movie, ‘The Towering Inferno.’ Not a great movie, but very instructive!
Beautiful.
great insights...thank you
Nice road, are you planning to do this kilometers this year? Can I join you sometime? I'm almost new in Toronto and I don't know where can I go to beat a hundred ride out of the city.
Great adventure and well captured on video :)
Nicely done good view's canada is beautiful
I plan to do this route SOLO in August 2022 to start in Don Mills and Sheppard Rd. Did a lot of solo rides and the my longest was 178 kms. I am targeting another solo 200 kms. this spring.
Update, did a 215 km. solo ride from Ottawa to Brockville, Ontario and back last May 14, 2022 for a total moving time of 8 hours and 56 minutes, elapsed time is just over 10 hours...
I did this ride SOLO last August 27, 2022 started from North York and passed thru Niagara On The Lake. My moving time was 7 hours and 33 minutes while my elapsed time was 8 hours 53 minutes. It was an enjoyable ride and I am intending to do it next summer.
Nice Jersey bro! #letsgoineosgrenadiers do you have strava?
Great vid! Awesome pics at the end . I’m waiting on same car. I recently took a trip to FL & couldn’t help but notice a lost all the Tesla I was passing were chilling in the right or center lanes. Do you have to drive this car a bit less aggressive to conserve energy on these long road trips?
Nice trip man. A long-distance. I used to do trips like that in my hometown. I'm new in Toronto, so, could give me some advice about a good place to buy a bike, road or fixed, and all the accessories or gadgets needed? Nice trip to Niagara, I'm planning to do too, tks for the inspiring
Welcome to Toronto 😃 There are tons of great bike shops around! Gears Bike Shop, La Bicicletta, Cyclepath (on Danforth), Sweet Pete's are all great places to pick up a bike/accessories. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Was this a standard range or LR?
Long range
Always a pleasure to talk to Lilly and Anthony and explore the finesse and creativity of the designers. So refreshing to see high quality in craftsmanship and functionality. I buy these beautifully composed objects as a long term investment where reliability and service is paramount.
They truly do provide a level of service that is unparalleled & incredible products to match!
Great perspectives. I work in an office building with only 6 floors and 2 elevators. For the last 12 months during COVID, one elevator kept breaking down and the parts would take over 3 months to arrive from China. It's a weekly occurrence that someone will get stuck in the faulty elevator for an hour, so it has been mostly offline. The remaining elevator was limited to only 2 occupants at a time, due to COVID distancing requirements. The queue, especially at peak times like the start and end of the work day, was ridiculous. As it was only 6 floors, most chose to use the stairs, relieving the congestion (not an option in a super tall), but there were still queues. Imagine living in a taller building with similar issues? What if you had a dog? I walk my dogs twice a day and they have a backyard and a doggy door. Imagine apartment-bound pooches on Floor 50 that just need to have a wee, with elevator breakdowns! Really makes you think about only buying/renting apartments within easy reach of the street.
🙂
Just wished you mentioned you were in Hamilton which was between the lift bridge and Fifty Road. Bronte is actually part of Oakville. Been on those roads and pathways you took. Good choice
