Bad News is Good for Stocks?
Crazy as it sounds...traders are hoping for bad economic news. The worse the U.S. economy does -- as long as inflation is falling -- the better it is for the stock market. That's because the Fed will likely stop raising rates sooner if the U.S. economy starts to slow down sooner.

Stocks are already off to a slow start, but the the launch of earnings season later this month could shift sentiment in a much more positive direction. * Get free access to our courses, screening tools, stock reports and more here: www.learningmarkets.com/sign-up/trader-plan/ Learning Market Founders: John Jagerson: www.linke...
China's Policy May Trigger Stock Bulls
Переглядів 3512 роки тому
Because it is a holiday week, the shift away from a zero-COVID policy in China has been underappreciated and underpriced in the market. This could go a long way to lowering inflation rates and boosting stock prices in January. Buying the dips now could be the best idea all year. * Get free access to our courses, screening tools, stock reports and more here: www.learningmarkets.com/sign-up/trade...
Hawkish Fed Expectations Sink Stock Market

Good economic data turned out to be a bad thing today. Wall Street shifted its expectations for just how hawkish the Fed is going to be in 2023. Traders now expect interest rates of 5.75% by the end of 2033. * Get free access to our courses, screening tools, stock reports and more here: www.learningmarkets.com/sign-up/trader-plan/ Learning Market Founders: John Jagerson: www.linkedin.com/in/joh...
A Santa Claus Rally this Year?
Переглядів 2972 роки тому
Will the stock market enjoy a Santa Claus rally this year in 2023 or are prices just going to keep dropping? The answer is more complicated than you think. To make things even more cloudy the Bank of Japan (BOJ) made a very surprising move with interest rates today. Although it seems strange that interest rates in Japan will affect stocks, that is exactly what's likely to happen next. * Get fre...

Should Traders Buy Before the Fed?

Friday's inflation numbers sounded bad, but were they really? Find out how reading the data behind the headlines can help put the numbers in a different perspective. Yes, inflation is high and that is bad for stocks, but has it stabilized enough to slow the Fed down? * Get free access to our courses, screening tools, stock reports and more here: www.learningmarkets.com/sign-up/trader-plan/ Lear...

Should Investors Buy the Fed Dip?
Переглядів 3052 роки тому
Fed members were out again today trying to set investor expectations that rates will keep rising higher for longer. This bad news was on top of more negatives about Apple's (AAPL) business in China slowing as lockdowns and protests put another kink in the supply chain. It all sounds bad, but the underlying fundamentals justify a more positive outlook than the headlines would indicate. * Get fre...
What to Expect from Stocks During a Holiday Week
Переглядів 2822 роки тому
The market usually goes quiet during a holiday week. Normally, this makes it a good time to add to a portfolio because you can be picky about getting a good price. However, this week may be an exception to the rule. The Fed will be out with several news events on Tuesday and Wednesday, which means waiting until Friday may be better for traders looking for a good deal. * Get free access to our c...

This is a busy week for economic reports that could do a lot to confirm this breakout on the S&P 500 as a great buying opportunity. Hurricane Milton is less than 24hrs away from Tampa. Any tips?
What about average that to meet or getting closer to the market price and sell right away. Talking about a stock that price is not moving up or down
This video was very very helpful. Thank you so much. I honestly have benefited from averaging down so much that I find it hard to find reasons not to do it…especially since the stock market has always gone up over the time it has existed and so if I study the company a bit, it’s easier to ignore volatility due to day/swing traders. But I have had to be ok with leaving my money tied up for longer periods of time in some cases and the time required has only been reduced by averaging down. But lately I’ve been option trading and have found myself doing the same thing. Bad Idea. So I’m looking to ‘rewire’ my brain to just avoid averaging down and setting stop-losses instead. It’s just harder to do and requires more planning…also a good habit to form :). Thanks again! I think I may listen to your video every day before the market opens!

TDS Syndrome ????
You cannot do this during a market crash or or large timeframes. Theres a chance the price will never come back. If the price comes back then youre good.
Thank you for a very clear explanation!
This aged well😂
Just found your work and like it a lot, but it looks like you've stopped? Is there any chance you'll restart?
Great refresher video! Thanks Learning Markets.
Great video exactly what I needed wish I would've seen this earlier. You were completely right thank you 👍
are you guys no longer doing commentary. I very much miss you guys.
We missed you guys
It’s rallying
What day is this? No, not today...I know what day THIS is....But what day are YOU discussing? I don't seem to be able to see WHAT day you are discussing. You guys put out a lot of Great Info - but I don't want to listen to something a month or two old, when discussing the market. WHERE does it say what YOUR day is? Thx!
Hi, the best analysis I've ever seen. Better than in my native language. It would be a pity to stop. I hope you are both well.
Hard to succeed on youtube if you are not into hype and BS. This is be far the best channel on youtube finance however it didn't gain traction with enough of an audience and feel bad for that.
Are you guys not doing any video recently? I have not seen any in last two weeks.
What has happened to the videos in 2023? Would you be kind enough to update us in the viewing audience? I hope both or you are well. Thank you. Best wishes to you in 2023.
Looks like the SPY is breaking up thru resistance. Oh happy day. Hope that you guys will break up thru resistance and post again.
Nvidia is going down because the market itself is selling the rally. And Nvidida is still in a bubble, brutally overvalued, horrible cashflow, not what you want to hold atm. I went short, best trade of the year so far
Sure looking forward to your next commentary? Hope you guys are well.
Just watched this again. The oil part with d channels is great.
Missing your insights!
Hi John, can you share your thoughts on the rally of Gold lately? Also, can you take a look at Boeing? Thanks much!
Where can I get your daily? weekly? live or close-to-live reports, thx. Used to get them - lost em!
Missed your comments this week. I hope you guys are okay.
If time your thoughts on ROL. I had it called away in Nov. looking for another point to sell puts for entry. Cash from investing & financing are negative & falling otherwise fundamentals look great. Is that a big negative? Thanks for all you do for us.
You were 100% right. The comments on this video are hilarious now
Hi John. What’s your take on coal? I see bullish signs on BTU. The primary trend is up. The 200 day average has been support since July. There’s a potential cup and handle starting mid April. A head and shoulders pattern formed starting in November and the price seems to be climbing out of it. May I have your thoughts please?
I wonder if we test the lows?
Thanks for the early post.
Thanks Wade
Thanks Wade
Could you look @ ORCL please? I had it assigned last April. I’m profitable on the stock & covered calls. I’m long & uncovered for now. Thanks
Thanks for answering my question about defense contractors.
I love your videos. Thank you
Aren't we expecting to see the yield curve increase as long as the the FED tightening so much?
Hi John... I'm looking to understand the category of "regional banks" and is there an opportunity to build a portfolio around this theme?
Hi John, Thank you for addressing my question concerning quantitative tightening (QT) and the effect it has on the bond market. I think we both agree that QT causes yields in the bond market to rise to some degree. As a follow-up question: 1) I would appreciate your thoughts as to why the FED (in efforts to combat inflation) prefers increasing the FED funds rate vs pursuing a more aggressive QT policy. 2) My understanding is that the FED is unwinding around 2.2T over 24 months. Is it possible to quantify/estimate the effect this may have on the bond and stock markets? Kind regards, Arne Lunding - Lomma Sweden
now CCP is just killing the nonproductive
Thanx John
