Hakka Kung Fu: Tith Ngaw Pai. 1.The Iron Buffalo style of the Chung Family Clan.
Tith Ngaw Pai is a traditional Chinese martial art school, promoting the Hakka martial art of its founder Lee Tith ngaw. This martial art originated in the Muichau (Meizhou) area of the northeast Guangdong province in China. Lee Tith Ngaw created this style around 220 years ago. During a trading trip, Lee Tith Ngaw's family members met a Siu Lam (Shaolin) monk from whom they learned combat skills. Young Lee Tith Ngaw learned those skills from the returned family members before apprenticing with the monk. Afterwards Lee Tith Ngaw combined all the knowledge, and with his own input he created his own specific style: a no-nonsense fighting art with explosive movements. Both Lee Tith Ngaw and his brother Lee Kam Kong were well-known in their region. Lee Tith Ngaw excelled in hand skills and Lee Kam Kong excelled in staff skills. The art was transmitted to the Chung family when Chung A Yan went to learn from the brothers. Upon returning home he taught everything to his son Chung Tjong Wah. Subsequently Chung Tjong Wah migrated to Hong Kong where he taught Chung Kang Yau. In 1957 Chung Kang Yau moved to England. Finally; Chung Kang Yau taught Kong Han Lei/ Galland R. from Antwerp, Belgium.
Kong Han Lei/Galland R. has also studied Lee Gar Gao Kuen with Cheng Wai Chung Sifu from Hong Kong. This martial art and the Tith Ngaw art stem from the same root, Lee Tith Ngaw. Both arts belong to the same martial art heritage, and are taught in our school. Find us on FB: Tith Ngaw Pai Kung Fu. In the section "Our story", you will find a more detailed version of our history.
