The fact that the man's name was Narcissus and he turned out to be.... narcissistic was perhaps one of the funniest parts of this incredible art meets comedy meets drama of a documentary. As a stain glass artist I watched this on a plane home from Scotland where'd I been in glasgow nerding out over the glasgow govan stones museum- a church that survived the reformation and houses these incredible Saxon and pictish and celtic Christian stone monuments. On top of that it has some incredible stained glass windows- prime examples of the Scottish school and full of unique history behind the firms who created them. So on the flight home I see this and watched it and learned all about fusing glass techniques on top of being immensely entertained. 😊 great film give it a watch

The nuclear powers would be more likely to use tactical nuclear weapons, in theory, and so the weapons would bolster a nation’s nuclear deterrence. Yet, any use of tactical nuclear weapons would invoke defensive nuclear strategies. In fact, then-Secretary of Defense James Mattis notably stated in 2018: “I do not think there is any such thing as a tactical nuclear weapon. If Taiwan gets occupied don't expect to just lose the right to vote. They only want the piece of land called 'Taiwan' and do not really see and treat the people on it their own. Just look at what they did to Hong Kong and you can tell what is going to happen to Taiwan. The core industries like logistics, finance, retails were all hollowed out with businesses grabbed by other mainland cities. I can see once they get a hold of the semi conductor equipment and engineers in Taiwan, they will just take all the IP and trade secrets to the mainland and outcompete Taiwan. I find it really worrying that some Taiwanese see the invasion as just a change of hands and don't even bother to take up a serious fight or at least negotiate. Occupation is not just loss of rights, but also means giving up the core business of Taiwan to other mainland cities and poverty.

I have a HUGE issue with the frame at 2:12, the Republic of China did not start to exist in 1949. It dates to 1911. The calendar in Taiwan this year is 113, thats 113 years since the founding and when you add 1911 to 113 you get 2024.
