Final Fantasy VII PC Demo
Hello everyone! Today, I have something special to show. Well, special for me anyways.
Now that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is going warm practically everywhere, even at my place, I thought I should revisit the classic PC demo. When I first saw Final Fantasy VII at a friend's house, I knew that I must have it, somehow. But back then I didn't have a Playstation. We did have a decent PC though, just no 3D card. So seeing this demo in a PC magazine, those where a disc with demos were included, I bought that right away and tried to play the demo. Since this demo requires a 3D card, no luck. So I could just listen to the music wav files and look longingly at the few wallpapers the installer used.
I did order the game from my local video/game store, and they took ages to get the game home. I did find another demo, one that didn't need a 3D card, taking place in the Gold Saucer battle arena. If I find that demo, I'm going to record that too. Finally the day came when I could play the game at home. The experience wasn't the same, with the PC version using MIDI for the music and only the great soundcards could make it sound somewhat similar to the Playstation. But I loved every minute of the game, and as soon as I finished it, I erased the save files and played it all over again.
I had plans of getting Final Fantasy VIII on the PC too and thought of ordering a 3D card. But I scrapped that idea and finally got a Playstation and the game there instead. And soon after that, I got Final Fantasy VII again and played the hell out of it, the way it was meant to be played, finally.
So, I have a bit of history with this particular demo as you can see. And I'm so happy that I could finally play and record it for you to see as well. I haven't had much luck finding that other demo, but I'm still working on it. Maybe I have it saved on an old burned CD somewhere. And playing the demo made me think of how long ago it was that I properly played through Final Fantasy VII, going beyond the gates of Midgar. I really need to experience that again...
Anyways, thank you so much for watching, and see you soon again!

Mega Man II - Longplay
Переглядів 8410 місяців тому
Hello everyone, and Happy Holidays! Today is Christmas Eve, so I'm going to celebrate soon with my family and friends, and cats. But it's another special day today. 35 years ago, Mega Man II was released in Japan! As with many others, I can't definitely tell which of Mega Man II or III that is my absolute favorite. Both are among my favorite games on the NES. But Mega Man II wins when it comes ...
World of Horror - Extracurricular Activity (PS4)

Hello everyone, and Happy Halloween! I haven't played that many true horror games for some time, so this game came as a nice surprise. This is World of Horror, a "1-bit love letter to Junji Ito and H.P. Lovecraft". I'm already a big fan of both point-and-click adventure games and RPG's as you already know. 1-Bit (or 2-bit as I chose) horror graphics is an awesome bonus. I haven't played many ga...

Hello, and welcome to part 6 of my Let's Play of Space Quest 6! In the last episode, Roger had just attended Stellar's funeral. Back at his quarters, he had a message waiting for him. It was Stellar, just being able to say a few words before being cut off. He hurried to commander Kielbasa to ask for help to save Stellar. But he didn't believe Roger and ordered him off the bridge. So if Roger wa...

Hello, and welcome to a new bonus video. This is mostly my excuse to upload more Space Quest to my channel forever. Fun stuff on the side of the main storyline. Today I bring my first bonus video from Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge. Of course it has to be one of the most famous Space Quest easter eggs: cheating! Yes, by typing cheat at any time brings you directly to an ending screen with mor...
Beyond Shadowgate Demo

Hello everyone, and welcome to a special video. Right as I'm writing this, there's a Kickstarter on its final 24 hours for Beyond Shadowgate, a proper sequel to the old classic MacVenture and NES game. As far as I know, the story was written closely after Shadowgate was released, but when the game was made for the TurboGrafx-16 CD, it was altered beyond the original creator's control. So they a...
Watching the Holotube (SpaceVenture Bonus Video)

Hello, and welcome to my first SpacVenture bonus video. Earlier, I've uploaded some bonus videos of Space Quest with stuff on the side, those things that you don't get to see in an ordinary story play. I've decided to do the same with SpaceVenture, for my appreciation of the works of the Two Guys from Andromeda. Being only one game, there won't be as much material from SpaceVenture to work with...

Hello everyone, and welcome to part three of my let's play of SpaceVenture! In the last episode, Ace Hardway was trying to fix the cooling reactor on the Nostrodomus, and to find what caused it all. Earlier, he had seen some research tubes with sample creatures inside. One was broken and the creature missing. He did find it again, now bigger and stuck in a set of pipes. With the help of some gr...
Insults at the academy (Space Quest Bonus Video)

Hello everyone! Time flies as it's time for another anniversary. Today, 30 years ago, Space Quest V was released! When I was thinking of what theme the video should have, I wondered what set Space Quest V apart from the other games in the series. When I think about it, SQ5 is the game where Roger was insulted the most, whether it was from other persons, or the narrator himself. My first plan wa...

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my let's play of SpaceVenture! Last time I couldn't write much about the actual story of the game. In other games, like Space Quest, there's a backstory available in the manual. SpaceVenture have some synopses online, at the Kickstarter page and such, but I would love something more. Well, the game project isn't completely finished yet, they are patching the ...

Hello, and welcome to the video! It's been a rough year creative-wise, I've had troubles getting things done. As you might have seen, I'm still in the middle of my let's play of Space Quest 6. I'm working on getting that done, it's just been hard getting to it. I hope you can excuse me for that. This video won't be Space Quest either, but it will be something similar and very special. On Septem...

Hello everyone, welcome back to my Let's Play of Space Quest 6! I've been quite inactive for a while with my channel. Mostly it's just been me not beeing motivated enough to get some recording done. I have some other projects in mind which have taken some of my time too, but I haven't decided if I'm going to publish it. The games I've been recording some of or have thought of recording would ea...

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my Space Quest 6 Let's Play! In the last episode, Roger got kidnapped by two huge doofuses named Nigel and Singent. Why they kidnapped Roger specifically, and what their plans for him were, time might tell. Roger managed to get out of his cuffs and incapacitate Singent with some static electricity. Nigel, being the huge muscular being that he was, Roger felt ...

Wow! What a beautiful game!
Was also introduced to this game on PC...wish I still had it!
I still cant believe that I got my playstation just for this game back in 97'. Damn where does the time go? I still remember all the hype for the remake back around the end of the PS2 era when they released the demo show casing the power of the PS3 and the rumors about a remake way back then. Crazy that ive been playong Rebirth for the last 2-3 weeks now too. I cannot imagone how many hours ive put into this story via games and movies etc. Ive played the original more times then you can imagine and did multiple max runs meaning everyone had mastered materia, ultimate weapons and level 99 etc. Then i got into the P.C version with all the mods the had to upgrade things etc. Ive shamefully invested a great deal of my life to playing this story........... pitiful..............
So you should be grateful for living and experiencing great moments from this FF7 Saga/ Franchise Not a lot of people could have had such a experience like you, Nice comment btw and I hope you can enjoy Rebirth and RR7 part III in a few years! ❤
Worth it.
