This channel mostly consists of easy crochet tutorials. I am a big fan of using the entire skein of yarn, so I also create scrap yarn tutorials as well as "skein challenges," where I create a themed set of projects that use an entire skein (or multiple skeins) of yarn. My channel is great if you are looking for non-conventional crochet methods (usually seamless), that are quick and easy to complete!
EASY Crochet HANGING BASKET Large
How to crochet an easy hanging basket! This modern and very sturdy hanging basket is very simple to make! There is an optional fringe border that you can add as well to make it even better!
Crochet Hanging Basket - Large Pattern:
Crochet Hook: N/15/10MM.
Yarn: Size 4, Medium Weight (Lion Brand Yarns Re-Up, Recycled Cotton & Polyester Blend). Can use any yarn, but need two strands.
1 Stitch Marker (can use a safety pin or scrap piece of yarn).
*NOTE: this crochet basket is worked using TWO strands of yarn simultaneously as if they were one strand. You can use any yarn (I encourage you to use scrap yarn).
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a Magic Circle (MC).
Row 1: CH 1, then place 1 SC + 12 DC inside MC. No joining SL st needed, as this is a spiral or continuous loop pattern.
Row 2: Skip the CH 1 & SC st, then place 2 DC in each st in the row, starting with the 1st DC. Make sure you mark the 1st DC of this row with the stitch marker so you know where your row ends (24 total DC).
Row 3: Place **1 DC in st 1, then 2 DC in st 2.** Repeat this alternating pattern around the row (36 total DC).
Row 4: Place **1 DC in st 1 - 2, 2 DC in st 3.** Repeat this around the row (48 total DC).
Row 5: Place **1 DC in st 1 - 3, 2 DC in st 4.** Repeat this around the row (60 total DC).
Rows 6 - 12: Place 1 DC in each st in the row (60 total DC).
Row 13: Work 10 SC stitches over the handle of your choice, then place 1 DC in the remaining stitches in the row (60 total st).
Rows 14 - 17: Place 1 DC in each st in the row, make sure you work in the top of the SC stitches you worked over your handle. The handle should be on the inside of your project for now, and that is okay.
Row 18: Place **1 DC in st 1 - 3, then DC 2together in st 4 & 5.** Repeat around the row (48 total DC).
Row 19: Place **1 DC in st 1 - 2, then DC 2together in st 3 & 4.** Repeat around the row (36 total DC).
Row 20 : Place 1 SC in each st in the row (36 total).
Place 1 SL st in the next st to taper off the spiral, then cut and tie off the yarn.
Hide the tail on the outside of your basket using a smaller crochet hook, then turn the basket inside out.
Attach Color B to crochet hook using a slip knot. Insert crochet hook in one of the last stitches from the previous row, then place 1 SC. **CH 3, then place 1 SC in the following st.** Repeat this pattern going around the row. SL st into the two vertical lines of the 1st SC st to join.
Cut and tie off yarn.
Hide tails in the last row of stitches.

Fabulous tutorial, I love this ❤❤
I've made 3 already and came back to start my fourth 😆🫶 thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!!
@@emilykimbrell2233 I am so happy to hear it!!!!!!! Thank you 🫶
I love this frame and as i previously stared, I've made over 150 this year. I wanted a bigger frame for some photos my daughter in law took ladt Christmas of my grandsons. 4 x 4 inch photos, so I used this same pattern. To do this, i added increasing rows up to 2dc increase and 1 dc inbeach of the next 3 stitches around. I made the ornament top the same and for the last row i tried two different versions and liked both. 1st version I skipped 2 stitches between each dc around. 2nd version I triple crocheted and skipped 2 stitches around. It gathered the bigger photo frame a little better. How fun!
There was a yarn emoji??? 🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶 Nice clear tutorial btw!
@@onlyforcomments-ksi I love the yarn emoji! Thank you so much!
@CrochetWithJulie Glad you appreciated!
I'm gonna make this with some yarn I don't use anymore to hold my yarn!!!! Thank you?
@@ChrisPark1997 that is great! Let me know how it goes!
not to be that person but when you mess up instructions in a video, you should probably fix them or at least leave a comment
It would be helpful to include the mistake?
Can someone show me the written Pattern😅 I feel like you're using this pattern from the strawberry I made so I'm just wondering
@StefanyHernandez-o3t it is in the description and I always make my own patterns from scratch! But increasing circles with the same stitch will be the same or similar in all of crochet.
For some reason i have trouble with the 42 row
Hi I tried it and they are very smart
That was very quick and easy good teacher

How many chains do I need if the pillow is 57x57cm please?
hello. can you make it with one color on the main part of the hat (brown) and a white on the bottom ( about one inch).

Oh never mind. I’m old and just found them!
Could you please post written instructions? I’m getting on a plane and need something to crochet for 16 hours!
Thank you ❤
I've made a bunch of these. Some as an in memory ornament for my cousins who recently lost their mother with her photo in them. A bunch with Christmas card disks, formy daughter in laws faculty, my nephew's students, nursing home patients, senior citizens center, and my Grandson's first Christmas tree. I had a bunch of multicolored Christmas yarn I needed to use up and this is perfect. I'm having fun! Merry Christmas
@@karladenney3407 wow! You have been busy! That is so kind of you to make homemade gifts
@@CrochetWithJulie it's something I love to do. Crochet with a purpose.
Great instruction video!👍👍
Hi I know this is a old video. But when you start with the first handle you state 10 chains then count up to nine stitches and place a single crochet on the 10th Stitch. For the second handle you mentioned chain 9 and place a single crochet on the 10th chain. Why on the first handle 10 chains and the second handle 9 chains?
And now towards the end of the video you state it should be 9 chains in the beginning you stated 10 chains.
How Long should the Beanie be? ❤
Why do you say crochets like that lol
Love this! Thanks for the tips!
Thank you
Thank you
Hy i am lost after 9:52 double crochet and then slip stitch and then ?? Repeat but please help me how exactly to repeat we placed single crochet and then double crochet in our first row before we started The design please help me.
Love the boho look of this mason cozy!!!!
How do you take out the pillow insert to be able to wash the crochet?
would wool yarn be okay to use?
Thank you, this was very quick, easy and simple to make, God Bless you, will be making more for my siblings! 😁👐🏾💕
@@Solsa777 I am so happy to hear that! Homemade gifts are the best 🎁
@CrochetWithJulie I agree with you 100%. It's come straight from the heart with hard work, I actually started crocheting last month, and I'm enjoying every bit of it 😁✨️
Hey can I ask what the dimensions are of this finished basket? Thsnk you:)
I made this, really nice, thank you!!
i came here to make a hammock for my rats, seems a lot of people had the same idea
I love this! Is there a modification for a 6 cup Chemex?
Brilliant little nest for my granddaughters small rats love it
Hi, at 4:40, my second triangle looking shape is one row less than the first triangle, but I have 31 DC excluding the two chains at the beginning of the row. Is that correct?
Edit: the row that im short by in the second triangle, is the base row of the first triangle before decreasing. So I think im good?
@@cameliakavousi1249 yes I am so sorry for the delay, but I think you are good! As long as the stitch count is the same as the first row, then all is good!!
This pattern was so easy to work up & very easy to understand!! Thank you so much!
great idea for holding yarn for crocheters
Interesting
Super confusing and not beginner friendly in my opinion..

I honestly didn't have an issue with the instructions. I just finished mine.
Great Tutorial!
@@TraceyDupin Thank you so much!!!
idk why the bottom of the basket wasn’t shown in the video
@@pendejap5915 It is the first few steps (the base increasing circle). And, I didn’t show it because my filming table is very small.
Great video! Thank you! I’m trying to figure out how my bag looks way smaller than yours but I followed the instructions 😂😂😭😭😭
@@Lishy823 hum it could be the brand of yarn? It can make a significant difference, even if they are the same “size.”
@@CrochetWithJulieI used the same yarn! And then a 4.5mm hook! It’s ok I’m just gonna do some more rows! It’s still really cute ! So I have no complaints
@@Lishy823 that is interesting 🤓 the only other thing I can think of is that I crochet loosely to preserve my wrist and elbow! I know some people crochet with the yarn tight, and that does make smaller stitches than mine. Whatever the cause, I am glad you found a way to modify it to make it work for you! 🫠
@@CrochetWithJulieyes they are tiiight but it’s still going to be a great gift !! Thank you again !!
Just was confused on how to tug the string after making the last slip knot. But over all your video along with written pattern was very helpful.
Thank you! This was driving me nuts!
its coming out beautiful. Thank you :) Only thing I do different after frogging it 3 times cause I lost myself in the stitches is the 3 that you skip and go back to I put a stitch marker on them so I can find them easier. :)
Whenever I use the center it always tangles 😕 I just pull it from the outside instead cuz it never tangles then.
Do I chain two at the end of each row?
I figured it out and the answer is yes. I just finished and I really like this pattern!
