Racism is a first world problem, we have real problems here, we don't care about colors or nation, we never had segregation like the USa or europe, slavery was abolished before the nation was even born. You wanna know how racist we are? Come here and see it for yourself. You are the ones that find the word "negro" offensive, not we... Maybe you are the one that is being racist, how can you feel offended for what you are?

The African population used to be more than 50 percent of the Argentine population, and there used to be more black people in Argentina than in Brazil, Argentina committed mass genocide against its African population, and I personally would never set foot in Argentina. Argentina from 1868 to 1874, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, undertook a genocide' that wiped out the Afro-Argentinean population to the point that by 1875, there were so few Black people left in Argentina that the government didn't even bother registering African descendants in the national census. Tellingly, Sarmiento wrote in his diary in 1848: What is [to be] done with such blacks, hated by the white race? Slavery is a parasite that the vegetation of English colonization has left attached to the leafy tree of freedom,” - International Business Times. imagine they killed half their population. the land of Argentina was fertilized with the blood and bones of Argentina's former African enslaved population. the food that grows in Argentina, and the grass that grows, for which the cattle graze on, was fertilized by the blood and bones of, its former African enslaved population, that unique taste that you taste, when you eat food grown and grazed in Argentina, is the blood and bones of your former enslaved people. African slaves built Argentina, and then the former slave owners paid back the slaves for the great works, toil, and effort, with mass genocide, the most complete and comprehensive genocide in human history. most of the present black and African population in Argentina are recent elite African and black immigrants, who did not arrive in Argentina until after 1980 and are not descendants of Argentina's African enslaved population. Argentina has gone a long way in whitewashing the genocide of its former African enslaved population, by allowing marginal mostly elite African immigrants, who themselves are somewhat anti-African, and tend to be very invested in absolving the European Argentine population of its genocide past, one of histories most comprehensive genocides committed against Argentinas descendants of Argentinas African population descendant of the trans-Atlantic slave system

Hi, Egyptian lady here and want to give my 2 cents. I do see myself as African but not Arab. We speak Arabic but we are not Arabs because that's not our culture. Anyone pushing Egyptians being Arab is pushing a political agenda. Nubians have their own identity, traditions and culture and that's ok. We love and accept diversity. That being said, I do see myself as African, definitely not black but definitely African. Sudanese, Nigerians, they are my brothers and sisters. I'm blessed to have met lovely people from both countries and I've yet to meet a single soul that wasn't just amazing to be around.

Whites in places mixed or the major non white also suffer white racism and none r allowed to talk about that. Omg, no need blacks in every point of the world.🙄 There r places that only stay one tribe one race, majority or totallyin asia , in afrkca.. but nowadays the whites (for no be "racist" another víctim card) dont allowed to have a exclusives places for them only like in the past.no exist afros or n from everywhere.😒and no need it.

I think the problem is that americans and europeans judge other countries through their own lens. Argentina has racism like any other, but it's not directed to afro descendants as it's expected, but actually to people with indigenous and/or afro ascendence, but we're pretty much mixed, not so separated like in the 1st world. Afro descendants are actually seen as tourists or immigrants and generate curiosity and interest rather than hatred or mistreat.

I really don't understand the feeling of disconection and the disappointment of being treated just like any other tourist coming into the country. I am east asian, even if I went to close countries like Japan and Thailand people treated me as tourists too. I don't see any problem to it, i don't speak their languages and for some part of asia i look totally different from them. It is weird that the egyption not calling themselves african but maybe they just had different deffinition to the word" affrican" and they feel more relatable calling them Egyptian just like I seldom hear middle Eastern being call Asian despite they are from Asia.

Actually here's the thing. I have been struck by and caught off by how there is a whole ton of videos online talking racism in Argentina. Well, it is best to talk about racism back in the US. Why? First off the US was built by black hands and to date, those blacks are facing systemic AND instituationalized racism. No reparations to date, nothing. The African American society is the most impoversihed in a country it realistically built!!!?? It don't matter whether someone is an Army general, a federal secretary, a basketball player, an NFL star, a music artist, etc. As long as your a person of color in the states, you live under an existential threat to your life. Ask Michael Jordan and Llyod Austin (they admitted it in the days following the strangling of George Floyd. Check me on that, there is videos of them admitting to the bitter truth). In the US, black is black and is looked down upon. Now, back to Argentina as the video is oriented specifically towards racism in Argentina. If Argentina was as racist as it is described by many (maybe it is I might be wrong), why is it one of the most welcoming countries in the world and to all? Recently I heard about West Africans going there en masse. Ain't saying they don't have no probs but, where in the world will people not have probs? Why doesn't Argentina deport them back to Africa if it is that hateful to people of color? Why doesn't Argentina deport other South Americans who immigrate there en masse if it is so xenophobic and racist? In Japan for instance, Filipinos and Vietnamese and other Asians from time to time, face some sort of racism/xenophobia. I think the prob here is, people just want Argentina to be a paradise on earth whereas even the Vatican ain't one. Again, don't get me wrong I am not saying there's absolutely zero cases of racism dowm there, but on the other hand, I strongly believe countries like the US, the UK, Australia, Germany, Spain and Italy are far way more racist than Argentina.

Thank you for posting this video. I think it's beautiful that the afro turks are embracing their african roots.

So sorry for your experience, I traveled to Egypt and was greeted me with respect and i wasn't buying anything! In fact I traveled with Europeans and was treated better than they were! I am so sorry for your experience. I too am from America and was glad to feel accepted especially in tge Nubian village! Yes i did see a division of the Nubians and the other Egyptians but nothing like what i experience in the country I was born in!
