Cabin air filter replacement on 2016 BMW X5
Great video! Needed to replace the piece attached to the actual seat. Your video showed me exactly how to disassemble to get to the part I needed to reattach. Thanks!

Thank you
Thank you for this video. I have the same issue.

Anyone knowing what is the filter under the glove box for? I saw some other videos doing the same but not replace that filter, e.g,. ua-cam.com/video/zQSKtZ-5Y8A/v-deo.html I am in US if that makes any difference
Cabin air filter
Awesome Video! Thank You! Saved me a lot of time, probably hours. Was going to unbolt and lean the whole seat assembly back to start troubleshooting. And when you showed the positions of tabs ..... that saved a lot "figuring it out" and big help in reducing the possibility of breaking those tabs. Contact spring mounts were ok in mine, so I cleaned with alcohol and applied contact conditioner.
Thank you a lot
Thank you 🙏
Thanks, you just saved me some money …👍🏿
Thank you for posting the video, very helpful!
I use Mahle or Mann branded filters. Mann filters are the best. They're OEM suppliers.
Thank you. Nicely done.
Nice video. Thank you for posting. Such a simple fix...once you see it done by you. & it's a $350 switch
Mantap👌
Thank you!
Does 2015 has the glove filter? I didn’t find it under the glove compartment. Is it different from 2016 model?
same question here
Grazie mille 🤩
How much were the filters all together? Can I get them aftermarket?

After the purchase, i noticed an oil leak out of rear different, caused by the o-ring. I took the car back to the dealer who replaced it for free. After that incident, i really haven't had any serious trouble, no issues, not even breaks. The car is really nice, quiete inside and comfortable. Plenty of power and good highway mpg (up to 27mpg) with about 21mpg combined. I would buy this car again.
How is the reliability did you had any bigger problems thank you so much for the respond and for the video..
Is there a service light that has to be reset?
There are no filter light or counters available under settings within instrument panel. So my answer is no, nothing to reset.
great video ! i have a 2017 it seems the same as 2016 ...I went to dealer in Toronto Canada they wanted 477 plus tax to replace these ..I just ordered the parts for $57 ..after watching this video ! I know I cn do this myself . Thank you WTMA
When I removed the interior cabin filter, the arrow pointed to the right. Yours was to the left. Can this be correct? My car is a 2016 X5 3.5X msport package.
Hi, same for me. In fact, I’ve just bought the car second hand. Airflow inside cabin was far too low. Thought they hadn’t serviced the interior cabin filter. But when I checked it was all new. Then, thanks to you video, I saw the filter was the wrong way around. Flipped it around and now airflow is good. Thanks :)
Can you do a video air filter replacement on this vehicle. Thanks
Thanks for this video. I have a similar problem and i bet is the same part broken. Thanks againg
Go ahead, please. I like your video. I have a X5 too.
Hi there, i haven't had issues with the car since this problem which is why i haven't uploaded any videos. My real breake pads are coming due for replacement in 2021 and most likely i will be doing is myself because the dealer has already quoted my about $1100 for new breakpads, rotors and the sensor.
Anyone have a part number for these??
WTMA zooms in on both of the 11 digit part nbrs written distinctly on the top left of each box between 1:00 minute to approx 1:11 minutes. Not sure how you missed it. Just press the pause button so that you can jot the numbers down. :)
@@QSilver7 thanks man, tired eyes missed the fine details xD
Informative! Thanks!
Thank you for this video! The dealership wanted $225 for the labor to replace these!
What size is that cabin filter?
You don't need to take out the drivers side pins to change the filters.
Hi, yes, you are correct, i noticed that after the video was made. 😀
Great video, looks very easy. Thank you.
Saved me about GBP£ 300 the BMW Dealer wanted to charge me .. I bought replacement filters on Amazon for £26 .. Thanks for the video!
Great video. I just went to the dealer 2 days ago for regular maintenance, and they wanted about $1600 for engine oil change, replacing intake silencer (not sure why) brake oil change and wanted to replace the refrigerant and rotate tires. My car is now 5 years old and only 12k miles. Not sure if all their "recommendations" are true. About 5 years back, at another "reputed" BMW dealer, I was being scammed. The technician recommended that I had a leaky gasket and if I don't change it immediately, it will leak on the timing belt, causing a much more expensive repair, and that I should replace the gasket, for about $900 if I remember correctly. I said dont do it now, but give me the paperwork. And I went home. They kept calling me to get this done as they were concerned for my "safety". I later went to another dealer and was told I had no gasket leak whatsoever. From that day, I lost trust in BMW dealerships and am very cautious and suspicious with them all. If we aren't very careful, their job is to take as much from you as possible. Ive seen too many videos about similar scams, but I was surprised that it happens at a "BMW" dealer.
Yes, all car dealers are known to "up-sell" their services and maintenance packages. Always consult your car's owners manual for details about regular maintenance.
Saved me hundreds of dollars, thank you
Great vid, thanks. Very helpful
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I’ll save some money next time my air filters are due for a change by replacing them myself.
Thank you
Thank you. This helped me a lot. And saved me a lot of money
Where i can find this air flow filter? Can you send me link? Thanks
Hi, I bought my filters on E-Bay in new/unused condition. Here are some links: www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-BMW-Cabin-Air-Filter-Set-64119248294-/312877623808?hash=item48d8f5aa00 www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-BMW-Recirculating-Air-Microfilter-64319194098-/312893584606?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c1#viTabs_0 As always, before buying anything on ebay, read the description carefully and make sure you agree with terms and conditions of the purchase. Good luck
Nice work thanks for Venio
