Im suprised you found a iced over place like this on lake champlain. Normally it stays pretty flow.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone catch so many in Willoughby. You can fish day after day and nit catch one trout .

So far this season I have got my best fish from small rivers I grew up swimming there. It’s filled with 15 holes and over my head by a few feet, I’m also from Vermont and the last 2 seasons hand been for best of my life. I love trout fishing and I will keep one huge fish every year or one of the three Vt river trout . I have not got a rainbow this season yet but have got lots of brown trout and brook trout. So I put back 97-99 % of my yearly catch. So far this season the best I have got are a 13in brown and a 17 inch brown 19in brown and then 3 days ago I got a 24 in brown trout. 13 trust

Very cool! let em go, let em grow. That fish has probably been caught and release more than a few times. Really is nice to see it being released to fight another day. 👍🏼🤙🏼
