Got an RTSW interview today. Thanks for the info
Hope it went well 😄
@ we will soon find out! It was a 10 min presentation based on a case study.
Hi Kayleigh, I have been watching your videos for a while now, think you are great, I can resonate with so much of what you have said, you have inspired me to go ahead with my ambition, I have just applied for Social work degree at university, was just wondering what kind of case studies they give you, during the interview process? As I'm extremely nervous and I don't have any previous experience, apart from being a carer for my disabled children, Would love to here from you,
Hi, so great to hear you've found it useful!! To provide some general advice, the case studies are usually used to determine that you are not judgmental (don't jump to negative assumptions about people, are person centred and caring towards people and look out for risks. If you Google case studies some come up from research in practice and various other places so that may give you an idea (I just checked). I have a few case study analysis videos on my channel and on my interview prep video have a video about approaching case studies for job interviews and the way I structure this may be useful !
Great information I get stuck on coordinating them to the next phase of tgere care out of the hospital
Hey glad you found it helpful. Can you elaborate slightly. I am a hospital social worker and just trying to figure out what you mean :)
❤
mmmmm
Still glowing and looking beautiful as usual. If you ever need help with getting pregnant again, let me know.
Thank you, love the bite size chunk videos x
That's great thanks for the feedback 🙂
Just subscribed 🎉
Brilliant 😊
Thank you 😊
You’re really sweet thank you
Do you have any tips for the reasons you want to become a social worker feels too personal? I do realize I need to get over this and it's not even that big of a deal, but I am so private about my history. Thanks!!
Hey, I would always say to just give vague details but then focus more on what you learnt from that experience and focus on your growth from it!
I thoroughly enjoyed the example you gave of the lady who was previously a cleaner. The strategy that you suggested is an example of faith that people are more than their so called disease. Whilst the lady was living with whatever ailment, there are other aspects of her being that needed to be acknowledged and strengthened. Thank you for this tutorial. I have learnt a lot.
Thank you for your thoughtful response. That's great you got something out of it. 😀
This was the most helpful video I’ve seen on the Internet I’ve been struggling writing reflective essays for my social work degree for the last year. Especially as a dyslexic person ! This is like gold dust.
Wow that's brilliant feedback. Thank you. 🤩

Hi Kayleigh, thank you so much this was so helpful. Btw, can you advise on any website for making genograms? I have to make a genogram for one of my assignments but I am not sure what one to use. Thank you so much!
So happy you found it helpful. I wonder if you can access this by Research in Practice? www.researchinpractice.org.uk/children/publications/2024/august/using-genograms-in-practice-practice-tool-2024/
Many thanks Kayleigh for this video. It's very informative and useful. Well presented !!!!

Thanks so much for sharing this - so helpful

Hey Kayleigh, I want to save you time and effort in editing your video and help you grow your channel at an affordable cost. I edited 1 demo for you. Would you like to see if you like it?
I had my frontline interview yesterday but my concern is doing a masters whilst working and being a single mum of 2. Any words of wisdom?
Hi yes let me have a think about that one and I will share a video about it 😁
Hi Kayleigh please can you explain how you become a Best interest assessor and the process to become one please 😊
Hi yes I will do soon ☺️
،nice
Thanks Kayleigh. Such a useful video. You are a star. Just a quick one to help me in my interview. when working in a third sector agency how would you apply adult safeguarding when the service user is refusing care?
So glad you thought so. In terms of working in a third sector, I believe you still refer to the local authority to raise the safeguarding. The third sector agency will have a policy on it. Have you seen my safeguarding video in my interview tips folder ? :)
@KayleighRoseEvans thanks Kayleigh. I will have a look at the video..🙂
Thank you - this is a good video for those of us in the USA too.
That's great 😃
Nice video and very informative Can you please make a video with some scenario examples we can give at an interview
Hi that's great thanks. Just to check, do you mean examples from practice so like when I've mentioned managing conflict ect ?
How old do you have to be a social worker in Bristol
Hi there is no set age. I went into social work (studied my college training then university) then straight into practice 👍
This really helpful as I am considering how to incorporate theory to practice in my first placement. Theory, model, approach, method. Thank you👍
That's brilliant to hear ☺️
Hi Kayleigh, i have social anxiety and I don't understand if this job might be for me because i have fear to express myself .I think that I want to make difference in our society and with my past experinces i felt that I can use my social anxiety as a positive thing to help others and support them but is not easy. Thank you ❤
Hi I think you can absolutely use your past experience to help make a difference. The main thing is having that motivation. Social work needs lots of different people and it's about use of self. There are times during the training where you may be out of your comfort zone, for example being observed doing a mock assessment so you may want to find ways to develop skills to overcome these hurdles. For example, I joined a local public speaking group or just something where you start to practice. But everything can be taken in bite size chunks if you want to do it! :)
@@KayleighRoseEvans Thank you so much Kayleigh. Good luck for your job 😍❤️
Thank you 😃
❤❤❤
Thank you Kayleigh. Very informative 😊
Brilliant thanks for your ongoing support of the channel 😍
@KayleighRoseEvans kayleigh I have a question, was hoping you can help. If an adult decides to stay in risky situations how would a third sector agency/ organisation deal with that?
Hi it really depends on the situation but generally if there is a safeguarding concern it would be raised with the local authority.
@KayleighRoseEvans thank you Kayleigh 😊
Loved this. Really informative ❤
That's great 😍
Hi kayleigh. I'm currently in my 2nd year of social work and I was really struggling with how to best approach case studies and what steps we'd take. This has been more insightful that some of the teachings I have had 😅 thank you for doing a collaboration with Alshad. He explains things in a very clear way. ❤ I would love if you could do more case study examples and holistic 🙏 approaches
Hi that's really great to hear! I will see if I can get any other great practitioners to do some case studies with me 😃
i'm looking to get more support & your videos are very helpful to know what to expect, thank you
That's brilliant. Glad they have been helpful 😊
Please help me with overcoming anxiety
Hey do you have anxiety around anything in particular?
Thanks Kayleigh for yet another helpful video.
So pleased to hear this 😄
Very informative. Much appreciated 0:51 0:53

Hi kayleigh this really helped me
That's brilliant thanks for letting me know!
Thank you so much Kayleigh for taking your time to make this videos, they are super helpful! Would you also be able to make a video on the different teams in adult social work and their pros and cons, I am at the point of deciding which team I want to go into, but I am still not sure yet, which maybe partly due to me not fully understanding what exactly each team does. That will be super helpful! Thank you so much x
Hi thanks so much. So glad to hear they are helpful. It really helps motivate me to keep going! Yeah that sounds like a really good video topic. I will do that soon! X
@@KayleighRoseEvans That will be great, Thank you !! xx
What law book do you refer to?
www.whsmith.co.uk/products/social-work-law-5th-new-edition/alison-brammer/paperback/9781292244167.html
OH WOW!
My first year was ok. I was so bad at referencing and had to do 3 resubs. I passed all of them luckily and now onto second year. Hoping to do so much better this year
@@lucyrose4318 what uni are you at? I’m so worried about writing essays are they really hard? X
@@toniwilliams7193 I’m at Plymouth and you just need to reference as much as you can. Argue both sides. So critical analysis. Don’t woffle and not to descriptive. I go off on a tandem and also don’t use words like “don’t” and “shouldn’t”. They prefer “do not” and “should not”
@@lucyrose4318 thanks so much, this is really helpful. How long do you get for each assignment? X
@@toniwilliams7193 it really depends. I had about a month or 2 and then it came to April and I had to do 2 essays in one month along with placement so it really wraps up towards the end so use your time wisely xx
Hey the first year is more of a practice I think ! Good luck 🤞
Great job, Kayleigh. Some complex stuff, effectively broken down.
Hi thanks a lot. Always means a lot coming from you !! 😄
Thank you Kayleigh! Really helpful to relate it to a case study 😊
That's good. I started thinking maybe I should do more of these case study ones and pull bits of knowledge in :)
This has been helping me a lot with my interview preparation because I do not have anyone to discuss.
That's brilliant to know they are helping :)
@@KayleighRoseEvans I got interviews but even as an assessor after many many applications.
Thank you
Well structured scenario based video. It really is helpful. Appreciated

No problem. It's always really nice to have positive feedback 😊
I have an issue where im studying my degree in social and community, and out of the 13 on my course, im the only male. Everyone on my course is lovely, but i still battle in my own mind, i quit bout 20 times in my first year 😂
