To more evenly distribute the 4” bust dart, I would recommend first pivoting part of it into a waist dart. Then you can remove the smaller bust dart from the bottom and the waist dart from the side. Thanks for watching!

I’m so happy to hear that you love the ideas! What an exciting journey you have in front of you to learn to sew! Fortunately, you can make your own pattern for a waist apron as it’s only two rectangles. Cut a rectangle for the apron body based on your desired width and length, then cut one long strip for the waist tie. If needed, sew small scraps of fabric together to create the larger pieces for the apron body or waist tie. Hem the edges of the rectangle, fold the waist tie in half lengthwise, enclosing the raw edges inside, and sew it across the top edge of the rectangle, and extend the ends to create ties. I hope you make one!

UA-cam videos by knowledgeable people are amazingly helpful! Start with small projects, like coasters, placemats, etc., to gain confidence! It's easy but like anything worth learning takes practice. The most important things are a) have fun b) don't death yourself up over mistakes c) have patience d) use scrap fabrics or buy remnants! As your skills improve you can make table runners, pillowcases, tree skirts, bag holders, pot holders, etc.! You've got this!

I modified my regular sleeve sloper to include an elbow dart, which is great for improving the fit and shaping of the sleeve, especially around the bend of the arm. That’s a fantastic idea for a future video-I’d love to show how I created it and explain its benefits in more detail. Stay tuned!
