@@benjicollins1 I used the sticky pad supplied by Cardo but used a little heat first to help the glue and just pressed on it for ages until it was stuck. Hope that helps man 🤙🏻

@@benjicollins1 make sure you clean the area on the helmet before sticking, I used the missus hairdryer removed the cover from the sticky pad warmed that and a very gentle amount of heat on the helmet then applied lots of pressure until it was on 👍🏻

@@thecheshireadventurer8392 yeah they have been busy flattening the worst bits still a few rocky spots along the way. Nev wanted to try a greenlane thought that would be an easy one to start with

@@rippinrogers so it was a bit of a “MacGyver” made up thing. I had a triple surface mount pod with a usb 12volt power port and a volt meter and on top of that was a “L” bracket nut and bolted to to the pod and just a quad lock kit but make sure you use a vibration damper on the 640 my iPhone 13 Camara was affected by the vibration. Hope that makes sense? Great bike by the way I regret selling mine

@@fredriknordstrom4640 yes it is mate, I had the same problem as you with the commander 1 had to cut the hole slightly deeper to get the helmet comfortable. The commander 2 has deeper recesses and I think slightly bigger in diameter to the jbl speakers that come with the Cardo fit perfectly and the room around due to the much improved padding makes it way more comfortable 🤙🏻

Yeah that was unplanned 😂 as I entered the corner applied the rear brake and slid so let off run wide that grass was like ice 🧊 😂 the 34psi in the rear tyre didn’t help it went round eventually 😊

Cheers buddy We are happy with the new version of a very good helmet. The mic I use is the small Velcro backed one that comes with the Cardo so I might try the other one with the flexible arm and attach the GoPro mic to that see if that works. 🤙🏻

How's the coverage with the drop down sun visor on the 2? Looking for an ADV helmet that has one but I've noticed on quite a few helmets they don't drop down far enough and you have a large space underneath the visor where you get blasted with sun light. Kind of annoying and distracting.

@@SkintSNIPER262 the sun visor is absolutely fine and with the new cable operation it doesn’t hit my nose like the old version did 😂

The follow up “review” should be up later today. I got the xl and it fits perfectly for me I had an xxl in the original commander helmet. The peak is fixed I think I can’t remember for certain but I’ll check and let you know later 👍🏻

Yes definitely buy the new version #2 it’s way better in so many ways comfort the sun visor the way they have planed the intercom it’s a much better helmet if you can afford the extra cost do it. I have a review vid coming out soon for the new helmet so watch this space

Hey thanks for the comment, I have no problem with the Cardo above the sun visor slider it actually helps locate the slider. I use the wires that come out of the Cardo then find the slider works well for me. 👍🏻

She did mate, day before we spent the day with Moly at sweetlamb teaching her how to properly ride and she learnt loads

Ktm 690 enduro/ Husqvarna 701 is widely regarded as the unicorn of adventure bikes especially if you get one with the extra fuel tanks Very capable on road for long distance and when you get to the off road it makes total sense 👍🏻

@@666adventures 690 is lovely bike was looking at them other day, I take it about 10k is average for new bike,

Yeah about 10k but have a look for slightly older and more kitted out bikes you can pick a 690 up for around 5/6k and will have a few mods from the person using and bettering it for different uses

Yes it was mate, me and Kim did it in the landy so thought why not have a go on the way down but I completely forgot about the rocky hill climb poor Andy was goosed good effort though 👍🏻

Cheers bud, yeah it wasn’t easy staying on the “tiny strip of tar” 😂 we was on a ride out with a couple of instructors from sweetlamb. Must have been difficult getting up the left rut on the t7? Me and the missus are back down in a few weeks so will see how we get on again 👍🏻

Cheers taffy, Kim said the wind noise was a little less than the original helmet and she had no problem hearing me talking to her, I’m hoping the cables to wire up my new helmet turn up this week then I can do an update on how it performs against the old version 👍🏻

Hey mate I have now been out for a ride with the new lid fully wired and it is better than the older commander I’m on with editing the review video 👍🏻

The wind noise for the older helmet was ok upto about 60mph, I asked Kim and she said the wind noise in the new helmet was better than the original and she had no problem hearing me over the Cardo we only managed a run down the m6 Saturday and managed 50mph in road works I’m hoping the cables will turn up this week so I can wire up the new helmet get out and test it out. The orange isn’t quite KTM orange but it’s close enough lol

Hi peete I have at last been out with the new lid fully wired for sound 😂 it well out performs the LS2 and it’s leaps and bounds better than the original commander a review vid is coming 👍🏻
