I remember this performance. Lil' G (Gary Jenkins from SILK) was our singer. Prof Kirk was in rare form talk trash about FAMU not having majorettes. I ripped my pants on the dance routine and it was well worth it!!! (lol)

We had a great band that year!!! I was a sophomore in the trombone section. The FORCE!!!!!

My first game marching as an Aristocrat against FAMU and I still remember this day very well!!!! I'm not gonna lie, y'all jammed, but we had some fire as well!!! None of today's bands could have touched either of us back then!!!

Does anyone know the name of the drum cadence TSU, used at the beginning?? I first heard it when Tennessee State, came to Detroit in 1985 and performed it at Tiger Stadium.

TSU's band for may years would bring out singers and sing themselves but the FAMU 💯were always like sitting in front of Bose speakers.
