I say don't do edges at all. It looks weird with straight hair, but just bizarre with locs. It's unneunnecessary and rather defeats the purpose of having locs.

I use my loc gel for my edges! The “Loc’N” gel. Get your hair edges a little damp and then add a little of the gel. Lasts all day

You can color your locs with out using bleach . 😮I had my done by a professional colorist Your hair looks amazing 🤩 my hair would fall out if I used bleach. Thanks for sharing

As a white person, can I ask; is it harder to maintain locs or natural hair?

You mentioned how your roots are puffy and retwists not lasting long enough. It might be because you are preferring to wear your hair in anything opposite of a compression style, e.g. free, loose, down. Compression styles may be secure up-do's, buns, barrels, bantu knots, cornrow braids. Also, oil can tend to cause swelling appearance of hair. I is loc folks use oil to seal in waters moisture, and oil is good, but it can cause puff. The reason I personally know this is cause I used to use oil to break hair casts (gel casts) or when I had silk pressed hair and wanted to go back to wavy hair putting a generous amount of oil in my hair will revert it quickly.

How do you get your Locs to look wavy like they did before you applied the color wax? I usually wet mine, add mousse & braid them but yours looked so neat & had a consistent wavy pattern throughout

Add mouse next time or some eco style gel hold the crimp

How long did you leave it in before washing it out?

You should not be putting leave in conditioner on your locs. That creamy stuff will be going inside those locs and will harden over time and make your locs heavy. I only use rose water. Your locs will be super soft and light.
