Realtime rising full moon on 12-July-2014 as seen in NJ via a Meade ETX-125 recorded in 1080P by a Canon 600D camera. The 'supermoon' was seen on a warm and humid evening causing it to shimmer. A reel written by Shetland fiddler Jack Goudie in the 18th century. The story goes that Jack had one too many drinks one night in Lerwick and was locked up in the local prison. The original Loch Ruan pipe tune was written by George M. MacIntyre as a dedication to a loch near Campbeltown in Kintyre, western Scotland. The arrangement is by Derick Macleod and Allan Ferguson. A 9/8 Scottish march written by Willie Lawrie of Ballachulish. Sadly he was to die an untimely death as a result of the battle after which this tune was named in November 1916.
