At Fordgate we stopped to carry a running repair on one of the bikes - whilst there we collected a few apples - drone footage of the aera at the beginning and ending of the film .

Exploring the River Parrett - kayaking up the river to find the remains of a old railway ridge

Filmed in 2019 this hike starts at the village of Allerford before heading to a wooded hill . Then to the coast ( with great coastal views ) past the remains of a coastal look out we head down to Selworthy beach using a rope . Then its on to Porlock Weir - stopping for lunch on the way .

A few weeks ago I purchased a book " The Quantocks " in a charity shop - inside the book was a photo of The Longstone a mysterious upright stone 952 feet above sea level on Longstone Hill . So having never seen the Longstone we set off to find it .

First flight of our drone this year today - with no wind and no rain whilst on a walk from Burnham On Sea to Brean we took the chance to fly the drone over the beach light house at BOS and over the wreck of the SS Nornan ( which ran aground in a storm in 1897 ) . We have taken our old drone here a few times before but this is a first for our DJI .

Trip to the Quantock Hills ( AONB ) to drop off a couple of trailcams - returning a few days later to collect them . Poor weather conditions and muddy trails . Wrong turn on the trail leads to longer hike to collect the trailcams . Lunch cooked under a tarp on the hills ( where a herd of deer pass close by ) .
