I wish they’d do it how they used to do it, back in the old days. With Santa and all the elves and the fake snow made it look like a proper magical Winter Wonderland, with all the little houses with lights on inside.. I’ll never forget the magic it brought me when I was a child. I wish I could see it like that again. Happy Christmas Fenwick! 🎄🎅🎄

Much better than the last few years, *but* agonisingly bland and lacking the Christmas colour palette and had zero noticeable Christmas decoration. The brass band sounded good at the start, but the dancing was tedious. All in all: very souless. Feel sorry for the kids these days 😕

Great to see that Fenwicks is sort of keeping up their tradition of a big Christmas display. Unfortunately its got the modernist look of some childrens books and is rather bland and the animation is rather limited. I particularly do not like the faces on the characters who mostly look rather creepy or in shock and fear rather than having a jolly old time. There's a hint for Fenwicks, to go forward with this tradition, go back to tradition. Thankyou anyway.

Okay it seems super cute but.... He's running a memo on an iPad and then takes that iPad on a magical journey to find Santa instead of just emailing it to him?? 🤔🤷‍♀️ I would think even most toddlers understand the concept of emails now. Pretty major floor in the story. 🤷‍♀️🤣

Sorry to be bearer of bad news but the 12 Days of Christmas is based on the 12 days after Christmas not the 12 days leading up to Christmas

Sorry but its not as good as the excellent windows pre-2022 when all the puppets had moving parts. I grew up with these windows the last 2 cardboard cutout ones were awful. This one is better but still not as good as the likes of Paddington, the Snowman etc. I don't want a religious theme just plain old christmas with (proper) animated figures. You're cutting corners Fenwicks and depriving todays youngsters.

I think it’s a fab story ❤🎅🏽⭐️🎄! The animatronics and bright colours are Christmassy and kids will love it! You can clearly see the 12 days theme and characters from the song! It’s much better than the past few yrs! ❤🎅🏽🎄⭐️

Newcastle probably has one of last big department stores adults need to to look at it through eyes of children, we need to use this great store before we lose it, like binns in Darlington with the closing down sign on it for Christmas 2024, thank you Fenwicks 🎉

Hmmm, better than last year but it's very.... Neutral, isn't it? Not very Christmassy. We just want an old fashioned, traditional window. Please, please can we have that next year?

But the 12 days of Christmas come after Christmas Day so the whole thing makes no sense!

Stood there for hours for people to dance for 10 mins and the reveal was shocking far to many people in there very crowded couldnt move kept getting pushed and shoved they wouldn't let us leave unless we had looked at the windows my autistic son didn't want to see the windows he wanted to go home waited in the cue to look at the windows for ages this year it was an absolute waste of time

Absolutely fantastic, thank you Fenwick for another fabulous night. Kids absolutely loved it, the MC, Frankincense, was amazing. The whole build up was great and the window facinating. Cant wait to come back again soon.

Kudos Fenwick for maintaining a tradition when times are tight. This year's window display was definitely one of the better ones in my book. But the whole point of a reveal is the element of surprise. You rehearsed tonight's show a fair few times while folks were queueing to be let in which somewhat ruined the anticipation of the theme given that we heard 12 Days of Christmas over and over. Did nobody think that might be an issue? Disappointing too that our host tonight was looking down at cue cards throughout rather than actually building a genuine rapport with the audience. Compare with last year's event and it's clear where the budget has and hasn't been spent - disappointing.
