Il Duomo di Milano. One of the Biggest Cathedrals in the World! ⛪️😮

I've seen a lot of cathedrals during my travels, and the Duomo di Milano is one of my favorites! You have to get there before 09:00am to enjoy the exterior architecture and the plaza - and take awesome pictures, if that's what you want. Like many popular churches in Italy, you have to pay to visit. I recommend buying your tickets directly from the chathedral's site. Make sure you buy the ticket...

Experience Monastic Life in Quebec's Hidden Sanctuary ❄️🍁
❤❤❤
I really like watching your video and the decoration, I love the candles and the curtain on the door, it's toooo pretty.
Thank you for your comment! ❤ I also think the vines curtain gave it a special touch.
I am so happy your video was recommended. I always bless my food so that those that partake in the bounty be blessed. 💙
😊 yes, blessing the food (even quietly) extends a blessing for those eating it. Plus it encourages mindfulness while preparing the food 🥧
Beautiful! And I like that you cook barefoot! It looked yummy.
Thank you for watching! 😊
amazing! that's such a perfect synchronicity for me & I think perfect timing for what's going on politically in our country. because for me I have recently found myself thinking about indians/native Americans/indigenous peoples lately. I've been discovering little things about them that reflect & connect to something I'm thinking about & experiencing spiritually, as well as connecting to modern culture & events, and of their history & mythology which I find totally fascinating and inspiring me in many ways but especially to just learn more of their cultures & history. I've always felt a strong curiosity and connection to them in very peculiar ways going all the way back to my youth when I was taken out of school by my very anxious white conservative fundamental Christians, (who were so fanatical to the point that my family was basically a cult that I got kicked out of eventually and became homeless) and then home-schooled for several years which really fucked up my development & education. which I bring up here for a reason that will become clear soon. I eventually began to notice that so much of what I was taught was lies and that there were many things left out that was not taught to me; so when I started discovering things & deciding to think for myself and take learning into my own hands one of the few things that were sort of difficult to process & accept at 1st but also felt very emotionally meaningful to me and revolutionizing to my perspective of reality was the true history of America including the genocidal treatment of indigenous peoples and theft of the land & degradation of their culture. that literally hurt my spirit & made me very angry, for some reason I was always attracted to that culture & I think perhaps even romanticizing of it as I saw it as having many things that western society (especially the extremely narrow constricted repressed part of it that I was raised in & confined to) was missing and causing disillusionment & depression. when I started to learn what little I could, the concepts, the values, the art & especially music (Music=Life to me) it really resonated with me, as it still does to this day. and now here I am all these years later feeling that way again and needing to learn more and connect with this. and I still believe that many of western societies problems & issues are due to the disconnect with spirit, with land, with animal life, and with mythology which it seems like those were all integral parts of their cultures. and now... now that Trump's cult & co-opted republican neo-fascist party has won the election things have grown darker & dangerous... change is coming, for better or worse, but if it's up to them they would return us to a society much like the awful idealized version or reality my parents believed in and attempted to create for their family which nearly killed me by leading me into addiction among many other things, so I know what I'm talking about. there is a sickness in the hearts & minds of many Americans and an terrifying emptyness in the dark part of our country's soul that is there, at least partly, directly because of the past "sins" & collective trauma with both inflicted & experienced; because what many people now do not know, and it seems at least some indigenous tribes or it's members did know & understand is this simple truth: ...all life is connected, we are all part of the same organism, mind, & soul of Humanity. of which, humanity is a part of nature directly connected to it & our planet, and on both a deeper level & higher plane we are extensions & avatars of the universe. we are, as all life is, different aspects of one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. this means there is a web that connects us all. so when we decide to hurt ourselves we hurt each other and as we do unto others so we do unto ourselves. we are all in need of healing & growing, which will happen eventually regardless but we can choose to voluntarily consciously undergo the process and decide some of the how, when, & where; we can at least try to make this experience better for ourselves or worse. it starts with you and it starts with choosing love over fear, so you decide.
Hello @KosMic_Skul, thank you so much for your insights. You bring up some very interesting points such as the importance of education. Education is a priceless tool that should reflect unbiased information (at least as impartial and objective as possible). And people should, at least, have the freedom to absorb true knowledge before making up their minds about the world. You also mention self-learning. This is crucial and so easy to do nowadays, if one has access to books and/ or technology. Yet sadly, that same technology is also one of the things keeping us ‘dumbed down', while slowly extinguishing our will and ability to think critically. You also mention the disconnect between mainstream western society with the natural and supernatural world. This is so true and evident. This is one of the reasons why I believe multiculturalism can maybe help us remember that we are part of the world, not its owners. This last idea is such a complex, yet necessary conversation. But yes, I agree with you 100% with what you said, ‘that all life is connected’. This is a crucial step before moving the world forward toward tolerance, cooperation and evolution. Lastly, when it comes to the political future of the US and other parts of the world, I think that as long as there are people brave enough to learn, think, and speak - there is hope. Thank you again for your thought-provoking comments. And I really hope you consider subscribing so I can read your insights in my future videos. Cheers!
So demure 😅❤
