The Gall of Ripley (Musescore 4 Orchestral Composition) - Landon Fowles
This is an original composition and my first piece written for full orchestra.
It was written in Musecore 4 using Musesounds.
This piece is inspired by my pet cat Ripley and is meant to betray his thoughts and feelings and also my thoughts and feelings towards him.
The piece was written for The Orchestra of Southern Utah's 2023/2024 Hal Campbell Young Composer Competition and was selected as a winning piece. The live recording can be viewed on the UA-cam channel "Orchestra of Southern Utah" or by visiting this link:

Wrote this for a Form and Analysis homework assignment where I had to write out an 8 measure melody using a contrasting period, which uses a 4 bar A phrase and a 4 bar B phrase. and then I decided to add the left hand and make it an actual piece. And it ain't bad for a speedy job.

musescore 4 is very good other than a few play back bugs but it is a very large improvement.

i love it!
good job on this one. I really like the transition to the walking base in measure 5-8. As a guitar player I'm really partial to walking base ideas under a melody because that's our jam.

if i'm correct, it's tenor sax, trumpet, F horn x2, tuba?
almost, its alto sax, 2 trumpets, a French horn and a euphonium part written pretty much to replicate a string bass or even tuba.
This is amazing! Great job!
