Did Africans Sell Their Own Into Slavery?

I made this voice recording in response to a comment on my channel, but I’ve decided to make it public because the information is useful for everyone to hear. It’s a breakdown of slavery in Africa, but it’s not complete. Because that topic takes volumes to explain, but I throw some nuggets in on this video.

    I am from the Carribean, I took the DNA test and it showed that I am of pure African DNA Heritage through my parents of 6 different tribes in Africa😂, but It don't matter where you come from on that Continent, as long as you are from near the SUN, you are a "BLACK PERSON" of the original species, Black Blood runs through your veins, No Neanderthal DNA found hence the Melinated skin to protect you from the "SUN", Flesh of thy Flesh, Blood of thy Blood, Created by the "REAL Father, YAHWAH" from the one and only Original Continent, "ALKEBULAND" the Garden Of Eden, See! A Person/People Without The Knowledge Of His/Their Past History, Origin, and Culture is like A Tree Without "ROOTS, Yahweh gave you your Blood, mankind gave you your Ethnicity/Tribal Location! you are the "FIRST" don't be Mis-Educated, it is written on the Hieroglyphs, and on Original Parchment Papers! the others may have left the cradle of the Motherland too early and have lost their pigmentation?

    We all know Agouda (free slaves that left Brazil) practiced slavery once they reached Africa shores because of the privileges that europeans merchants give them since they could speak their languages.Bro do you have evidences of slavery in black Africa before the arabs and europeans reduced these black africans into slave? Even in most African mythology, there is no traces of slavery practice . The arabs are still practicing slavery today (Mauritania, Libya etc...) and in their mythology slavery is accepted as well as in their religion. Which African empire before transatlantic slave or arabs slave trades practiced slavery ? We know Africa also traded with china long before transatlantic slave however no records of china trading slave for Porcelain or other goods ever existed!!!. Is this just an accident? Do you know any african spirituality ( voodoo, Ifa oracle, Ngunza, ABOSOM, etc...) where the practice of slavery was accepted ? By the way do you know many Agouda lost their lives from other black africans revolted to see them selling their brothers snd sisters to the white man ? In my Kikongo language there's no a word to say slaves or slavery and I guess this is also true in many others african languages.

    The limitations of the racist mind cannot see beyond black people being anything other than monolithic. It suits their prejudice narrative. Ask them the question, would a scotsman selling an englishman be considered selling 'their own'?

    You're mistaken, my brother. Let me clarify. The slave trade began with Arab invasions of Africa. While African tribes or empires engaged in warfare and took prisoners of war, it was nothing like what the Arabs initiated, turning slavery into a business many years before Europe came. Later, the Europeans expanded it to an even larger scale. The Africans who were forced into slavery during the Arab slave trade often faced the threat of conversion to Islam at sword-point. If they refused to convert or believe, they were either killed or enslaved. Entire villages were sometimes massacred to set an example, compelling others to become slave hunters. You can see evidence of this in the widespread conversion to Islam and the adoption of Arabic across many African countries.

      @st3019 3 місяці тому

      Firstly when you say “ Africans didn’t practice slavery as a business before Arabs “ this is absolutely a LIE. Bc since before Romans conquered North Africa there was hereditary slavery there . There is also evidence of multi generational slavery in Nile valley ( the Bible also mentions slavery there ) as an institution. No it didn’t start with Arabs .

    The few Africans that came here mixed among the Blk Indians, not the Mongolian Indians.. If the Mongolian type Native Americans ever encountered escaped Africans, they were more likely to turn them in for a reward.. Also, this is not an "either-or" argument as far as who was occupying the Americas at the time of the arrival of the colonists.. More than one group was here, and this was said by early explorers from Spain like the Conquistador named Vasco Núñez De Balboa .. Moreover, I think it's clear that every large continent is populated with groups that have totally different phenotypes.. The Americas are no different.. This would be a different argument if we were talking about an island, or perhaps even a small tiny continent for that matter.

    anytime I see a person who make a video, that suppose to be about the so called African American, then they start talking about this and that ethnic group was enslave or "indentured" which isn't the same as enslavement for life, I kind of question their motive for making the video in the first place.

  • @willie417

    the so-called African americans are saying that everyone didn't arrive by the slave trade. you can't start with the english date of 1619, if you're going to use an european date, start with the Spanish and Portuguese dates, the was on the islands, south and central america and southern north america to the west coast. So what about the "Olmec Heads" and the skulls found in Brazil from about 11500 to 12,600 years ago with Negroid features? if he found that information, he had to come across the other information, a lot of people like to get caught up in the slave trade or start at 1619 for some reason and they won't look prior to that date. as if it's forbidden

    Teaching time! We were sold by our own on false pretenses that we will be educated, build wealth, own land, etc.. in the new world. We were traded for gold, weaponry, foods, etc. Do you think the ones who brought us wanted just anything? Ummm no, they wanted the most skillful (craftsmen, agriculturalists). Who would pay/trade for less? After realizing, our buyers had the best weaponry and sort of the upper hand, they said fuck buying and trading when we can TAKE!! SO SAYING WE WERE SOLD BY OUR OWN DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING!!! Plus, if I was rich, I would have maids, chefs, yardmen, what would be indentured slaves/slave/servants in times…. And would sell/trade one for something I really wanted. THIS IS WAY TO EASY FOR ME

I like your video but you put me off with the slavery line which I've come to know is true to a lesser extent than the foreign history books want you to believe.

    Guy, you speaking wrong term.. Slaves meaning a person who is forced to work for and obey another and is considered to be their property; an enslaved person. Those were prison of war. Slavery is like what's happening in Saudi Arabia and Mauritania is "prevalent in both rural and urban areas".

    Lol somebody needs to let this guy borrow a fing history book sometime😂😂 the entirety of the hundred million plus African victims of black African slave traders were first kidnapped enslaved and sold by black African slave raiders who had been happily thriving by pretending the rest of the planet, and especially their own continent, was a handy free range human cattle pen for nearly two thousand years before evil whitey Europeans arrived at their hundreds of coastal slave markets with cash 😐hypocritical Muppet

    That’s an interesting. I’m an artist from London. It depends who I’m talking to. If I interact with other Black British people, I’ll them my ethnicity is Ghanaian. To the foreigners in the UK, they will see me as British , not African because of my accent and how I dress. I’d usually tell I’m from London. It depends on the context I suppose.

    There are slave castes in the Nigerian igbo tribe. The Osu and the Ohu people. The ohu could be killed and sacrificed to their gods The Fulani tribe had the 2nd largest tribe in the early1800's. Around 2 million people Northern Nigeria had been selling slaves to Arab traders from around the 8th century Mali and Mauritania have the oldest slave societies in Africa, still around a million in the present day.
