Vinyl, cd and Radio Music Fan.
RnR is my musical genre for sure, but, I’m interested in all branches of the RnR tree. Hard Rock and classic Metal was my first Love. Followed by some knowledge and exposure to Classic Rock. Then came 80s dance leaning synth and keyboard oriented Rock. And now age and time has turned me onto singer/songwriter, acoustic and even folk Rock. Styles change and artists entertain but for me it’s always been about songs!
I also usually am most attracted to Bands rather than individual artists, but again, as I age I recognize my taste is changing to be more and more interested in any musician with talent , great songs and the creative ability I respect. So after literally 50 years of listening to RnR I want to continue to discuss and share my passion for it with those who also love RnR.

I ❤ the Tom Petty record, Tears For Fears and great choice being Paul McCarteny. The Wings comp is great!
Nice picks. Temple of the Dog is cool. I prefer black vinyl all the time. I find color (and esp splatter) vinyl is too distracting from the music (and gimmicky) Cheers man!
I tend to agree…sometimes the fancy coloured vinyl is a cool surprise but generally I just love a clean black Record!
Man those records are looking in really good shape! Classic stuff Anvil, Accept, Queensryche! All essential metal bands. Love the first 2 Crue albums. Good vid man!
Thx…yes, my stuff is pretty much all in perfect condition; a symptom of my own OCD ways so that’s a benefit! 😊
Cool lists guys , need more Blaze and less Powerslave songs . 😁 and the book of souls has not aged for me well !🤘
Thx for watching 🤘
Amazing records and what a trip down memory lane. Hailing from Europe, a lot of bands you show in your video were very prominent in my native Germany, while the record industry did not "globalize" until the mid 80's, some of the European bands did not release records, or with a delay, in North America and vice versa. Very cool record collection you have and they all seem to be in pristine shape. Can't say that about my records/sleeves from that time as we dragged them from party to party. What a great era of being a metal fan that was!
Thx for the great comment … yes, this era and group of bands made some really amazing Music! ✌️
5 min 58 before we see an album, smh Canada.
😂 yes; I thought the same afterward…thx for watching though.
That Virgin Steele record is quite rare indeed! Do yourself a favor and play Heavy Metal Shuffle from Kick Axe Loud!!! much thanks Great video!
Great song! Thx for watching.
Nice Classic rock magazine behind you. Did it has some bonus stuff. I have been thinking to buy Metal hammer after some time. But I guess they don't have those bonus/extra things when they sell magazine in stores. mr. Finglish (Bäd English Recs) Oh and thank you for subscribing. I did same back.
Great video guys!
I gotta be honest Ron you are a natural when it comes to speaking, it’s very relaxed and genuine and your passion shines through every video of yours I’ve watched so far. I’d love to see you get more exposure and views and even though our channels are completely different they are similar in the sense that we are both passionate about what we like. I’m gonna start mentioning your channel in my live streams because the majority of my subs are middle aged as well and enjoy nostalgia and I feel like they’d love this kind of content as well. Very interesting video again my friend keep it up. And keep pushing out videos, it’ll help get your views and subs and likes up 👊🏼
Wow man, thanks allot for the nice comment and the advice…I’m gonna try to send out more videos…I do enjoy doing them! ✌️
I love the video Ron you’re a true fan no doubt! Pyromania is a great album, my personal favourite is Hysteria, I was young when that came out and my older brother had the cassette tape, he also had Pyromania but at the time Photograph was the only song I knew and I never really heard the rest till I was older. I pretty much liked every song on Hysteria and I really like the extended version of Rocket. Great video, very thorough reviews of all the songs on those 3 albums, I enjoyed it 🙏🏽
Thx for the kind comment…hope you’ll checkout more of my videos. ✌️
Thank you, Ron! Temple Of The Dog is one hell of a ride (RIP Cornell and Woods) Also, do you enjoy Gordon Lightfoot's work? 🍻
Yes; for sure…he is an amazing songwriter! I have a greatest hits cd of his which is superb.
Paul DiAnno just passed away!
I did this video on Sunday evening and than discovered about Paul on Monday morning…those first two Maiden Records are still as cool as ever! 👌
Happy thanksgiving ron
Thank you, Ron! 🍻
So many legends on this list. What a great dvd set ! - Honorary mention of greatest snl performance of all time - Annie Lennox - Why
I've went right off of these cash-in bastards after the new tour ticket scam. Charging people up to £500 for a ticket is absolutely outrageous! I wouldn't give them a £5er for a ticket now! They can fuck right off! I was never one of their biggest fans anyway. I only ever went to their gigs because I know one of them pretty well so didn't have to pay a penny for tickets. I used to stay with him whenever I was in London in the 90s/early 2000s and he always slept at my folks house when he was up here! I even had a fling with one of his housemates. A gorgeous wee Welsh lass! He only joined them for Be Here Now but stayed until the end. Even he hated their music! He's played on stage with REAL music legends since then, like Dylan, Keith Richards, Clapton etc etc. He's in NGs High Flying Birds now. Having said all that I'll still be calling him to get on the guest list at Murrayfield! I didn't say I wasn't a hypocrite!!!
What’s your favourite queen album??
Queen is one of those Bands that I am a Greatest Hits fan and owner. So, my answer to that would be … whatever album ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is on because that song rules! 😎
@@RonTalksRock oh man. You should listen to one of their studio albums. They are amazing. The first 6 studio albums they made are pure perfection 10/10
WONDERWALL should always be the closer, the encore song.
There is no way they are not gonna put Don't Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova. The Masterplan and Stop Crying Your Heart Out will definitely be there.
I would love it if they opened with Hello. Imagine seeing the two of them coming on and belting "IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK" together!
I think Noel will do an acoustic set in there somewhere which will be nice. Half the World Away and Talk Tonight would be nice.
This is a "brave" setlist considering Liams voice capacity, I reckon 12-15 songs at most at most shows, maybe some longer ones for some concerts, especially closing nights at certain venues, but "Dyou Know What I Mean" as an opener would be bad ass. Nice one mate
Thx for checking out the video…cheers!
I do love your picks, but you simply cannot exclude Don't Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova. Those are 1000% guarantees to be played.
Thx for watching…just pretending I got to pick the songs is all ✌️
I like your setlist. Here are some some comments on it. This is just my opinion and I could be proven very wrong when the tour starts. Noel has, for over 20 years, publicly bashed the Be Here Now album. Personally, I love it, however, I suspect that songs from Be Here Now will be rare, as part of a regular set list, but certainly possible that they could drop one in on one or two shows. Seeing as the reunion announcement was made 2 days before Definitely Maybe’s 30th anniversary and the gigs will be played a few months prior to Morning Glory’s 30th year, I suspect (and hope) the set list will feature a lot of these songs. Swamp Song - I hope so but F**kin in the Bushes is more likely, as it was used from 2000-09 D'yer Know What I Mean? - Rarely, if ever played since 2002 Supersonic - Agree Hello - Not sure. Possible opener but dropped from last tour. Some Might Say - Agree Roll With It - Rarely, if ever, played live since 2002. Noel doesn’t like it Slide Away - Agree Up In the Sky - Rarely, if ever, played live since 2002 but still possible. The Shock of Lightening - Possible Be Here Now - Less likely. Played around 20 times since 2002. Columbia - Agree Lyla - Agree Bring it on Down - Not sure but I hope so Wonderwall - Agree Live Forever - Agree Go Let It Out - Possible but don’t think it featured on their last 2 tours Hung in a Bad Place - Rarely, if ever, played live since 2002. Cigarettes and Alcohol - Agree I Hope, I Think, I Know - Almost no chance. Not played live since 98 Rock N Roll Star - Agree Morning Glory - Agree Acquiesce - Agree Songs that I think might be on the setlist be on the regular setlist. This isn’t my wish list but what I THINK will make the tour. Don’t Look Back in Anger - Almost certain Champagne Supernova - Almost certain The Masterplan - Pretty certain Half The World Away - Pretty certain Cast No Shadow - Pretty certain Turn Up the Sun - Pretty certain I Am The Walrus - Not certain but possible Shakermaker - Possible. Was part of the 2009 setlist Whatever - Less certain but this IS on my wish list Edit: Listen Up. Another wish list song Anyway, hope you get to see them and they play your set list!
Ya I mean I think he just gave a wishlist setlist , not an actual prediction. Listen Up would be mega but I dont think they will throw in any deep cuts like that.
Thx for watching…fun to discuss what will get blasted out when they hit the stages again!!!
@@RonTalksRockI grew up in Dublin, Ireland and Oasis played a huge part in my early and late teen years. I now live in California and I always like to hear what Americans and Canadians think about them. I got my tickets to the Croke Park gig on Aug 16 next year!
@@hayesdawow that’s Cool!!!
@@RonTalksRockI also heard that they are planning to play to kick off the North American leg at Downsview Park in Toronto on Aug 24th 2025, then onto Chicago, Jersey, Boston, LA and then to Mexico City. Hope it’s true and you get to see them again!
I just saw that Bonehead will be back with the boys for Wembley!! Amazing. Never thought we would see this happen ✌🏼
Too young to have seen them in the peak but my dad raised me on them buzzing to actually see them lucky enough to have got tickets
Best show youll ever see. Youll be levitating by song 3✌🏼
Can you answer me why they always put i am the walrus in the end?
they're big beatles fans, the song is a load of gibberish an epic.
I have somehow by the grace of whoever's in charge of everything been lucky enough to get a ticket for the opening night in Cardiff on the 4th.. I cannot wait.
Their first of the 7 Wembley shows next summer should be broadcast live on a ppv. Since alot of people will inevitably miss them live due to cost and demand I'd definately throw 20 bucks to watch it live on a global feed. That would be epic
I can't only imagine the fume from people when they're told they can pay 20 quid for a stream.. ofc it'll only take one dude to pay for it an then just stream the stream 😂
By song # 6 its already the greatest rock show in history😂😂 Killer set, I like the sequencing. Only thing Id drop is wonderwall and go let it out and replace it with my big mouth & its good to be free but in the end we could basically list every song they ever recorded and still want more ✌🏼 bring it on down would be a mega sleeper pick if they snuck that there for sure.
I decided they’re gonna definitely play Wonderwall so placed it deep for the break in the set…we can dream away now and imagine cause, you’re right, any setlist from them will be greatness!
My ranking of my favourite band's albums 1. Definitely Maybe & (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (5/5) 2. Dig Out Your Soul (5/5) 3. Heathen Chemistry (4/5) 4. The Masterplan (4/5) 5. Don't Believe the Truth (4/5) 6. Be Here Now (3/5) 7. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (3/5) I don't hate any of these albums I love them all but I like some more then others as oasis never made a bad album
Liam’s new album with John Squire is the BEST stuff he’s done since Oasis. Noel’s “who built the moon” album is also his best since Oasis. It’s all great but those two are just sublime.
I thought it was so cool that with all of the great Aerosmith albums , the Aerosmith vinyl you showed is the only Aerosmith album with no Joe Perry lol. Its a divisive album among fans but remains a very unique entry in their catalogue. Great cover and title as well ✌🏽
Hahaha I’m glad you noticed that…it’s a cool record and still has Steven !
Get your room setup and do a room tour. 👍
Thx…good idea…👍
Thank you, Ron. Can't wait to hear Cheap Trick live for the first time, this August, as they open for Heart. Have you ever been to a Cheap Trick concert?
Have never seen Cheap Trick. They’d be a fun show I bet. Thx for watching!
Doctor Eddie Ganja Here at a young age I got into Rock music and the 2 bands that blew me away were Deep Purple and Black Sabbath became my all time favorite band in 1974 After watching California Jam 1974 on ABC s In Concert saw Black and Blue Tour 1980 Saw Mob Rules Tour it's tough but Ronnie James Dio not so good on original Sabbath songs it's a Tie I bought both these albums when they came out Ozzy around November of 1982 Sabbath Live Evil January of 1983 I remember the winter weather was intense the day I bought Live Evil Long live Ozzy long live Black Sabbath I feel Ronnie James Dio s best work was in Rainbow All 4 Rainbow albums with Ronnie James Dio are awesome 🎸💀👍😃
🤘🎸⚡
The best ☝️😈⚡
Thx allot for watching. ✌️
@@RonTalksRock No problems 👍🌚👍
Live Evil is superior. Speak of the devil sounds like a bar band
Imagine walking into a Bar and seeing Ozzy on a tiny stage!!! Thx for watching. ✌️
Without a shadow of a doubt, it will and will forever be Ozzy speak of the devil, album and Patrick and possible rare home videos of it. I've seen. I've seen a clip and I've seen 11 up there but I on the flip side, first of all I'm gonna have to save. I'm sorry, but this text might be slightly long because. Make a because it's my old time favorite Ozzy albums, even though I like Randy Rhodes and I love how it Rose. Play some of the sabbath songs. The the Randy Rose would have play my favorite one to run that and this could turn to a long story. But you're narrow it down. First of all, I'm a Guitarist 🎸 🎶 dude I Go on and on about how much this album in Black Sabbath means so much to me. What's interesting as it gets harsh that I am when it comes the Tony's his songs. Of course, he's turned way down and he mostly uses. The top 2 power chords in the majority of his coolest ribs. They get straight to the point. My favorite is sweet leaf when I first heard it or saw whatever. I thought it was the bar noon. Daycoolest ultimate riff. Ever that Tony invented? Laugh out loud, but it's interesting to see how Ozzy's solo guitarist played him songs a way different way, for an example. Symptom of the universe. Is played on the second front and another one is well sweetly. Cause also played the way braggios plays. It ends up while cause I'm saying some footage. He starts it on the second threat is well, but it's the open a power cord but anyway, to get to the point. When I was in sort of a deaf metal and my cousin, and we wanted to write some cool like Hometown type music. And I had other influences, but nobody influenced me like Black Sabbath here. And so when I started like coming up.Black Sabbath ribs. Really help me write my own risk even though like I was coming up with him. But still the initool inspiration that Tony owned me hat on me was super freaking. Amazing and I have wrote some really cool arrives. 11 of the songs would be a song called cemetery. Another one would be a song called never mor and the risk. But not least what I'd like to say it before closing this long-drawn-out text is that on my UA-cam channel. I made a ton and I'm in course videos of me play an alarm to like Black Sabbath. And that record of course. They get a double and tribute record. Randy Rose and Ozzy. I have also played. This summer jakey leaves work like shot in the dark. Bark at the moon. This goes on. Feel free to check out my UA-cam channel here. And you get the experience the way. I'm just following along what is great coolest Ultimate amazing riffs of Tony hey I'm just following along to my Youthful years ........ Jamming to them in such Respectful honor , Thx friend for uploading & discussing this, I also have Speak of the devil brought Brand new cause my old copy wore out I wore it out from playing it in my cd players over the years , yet Even though I still kept the old dusty copy & Artwork & all lol 😆 😂 however the brand new one I play it occasionally but not much cause I wanna have it in new shape to perfection just about in the new artwork , case and all lol ...... So what I will do is just play these and watch these on UA-cam mostly
Thx for watching man! ✌️
You wrote 11 songs ALL CALLED cemetary that’s wild can we hear
Also the Randy Rhoads tribute double LP included some Sabbath songs.
Thx for watching. ✌️
Gd idea for a video. My top 5 are -kurt cobain -john lennon -srv -marvin gaye -freddie mercury The list is vast unfortunately.
Yes and it’s a list that is going to grow ALLOT in the next few years! Thx for checking in again! ✌️
hey ron. luckily i kept all my ticket stubs. i know what ya mean about not getting physical tickets anymore. i keep all my ticket stubs inside the CD case. when i dont get a ticket these days i sometimes use this company that prints replica tickets that look legit. i like florence & machine be interested to see her live. great tales. hope ya find some more old tix stashed away somewhere. just found your videos so got some catching up to do.
Thanks allot for watching and commenting! ✌️
Note of correction: MoJo (2010) was the second last studio album for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. Hypnotic Eye (2014) came after.
Great concept for a video! Cheers to you, Ron 🍻🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
Agreed
Pearl Jam for me is their 2 first albums. When you spent so much time looking for the words to justify it mmmm I think you had a hard time
Thanks for the review and I agree... good record. However the sonics/producton is really bad. A really bad sounding record.
Thanks for watching!
This is great. Happy to hear this. I’m gonna get it. Pearl Jam really seem back to form.
Bet you’ll love the album…thx for watching! 👊
