The haybale is definitely a good idea. I only went with powdered snow and carpet because powdered snow will take all fall damage, but haybales you still take a little. So if you want to have a 12 block gap between floors, you might still take a bit of damage with haybales.

Well kind of. I haven't found it yet (the ancient city that I have near my base was definitely loaded in before 1.20 update), but I'm not a huge fan of the way it looks. It's definitely cool, but I really like the one from the ocean monument (had to go to like 8 of them to finally get it to drop)

@@cyantrell well you probably overcomplicated it just to get it opening in that specific way for aesthetics, but pulling blocks across the entire door is overcomplicated. theres designs for 3x3 doors that dont even use slime or honey blocks and they are quite easy to make

​​@@theplayer4664 That is pretty cool, and I will have to check it out. Didn't realize there were easy ways of doing a flush 3x3 piston door without honey and slime. I was just messing around with some redstone and got the pistons moving when I needed them to.

Well to be honest procrastination hit hard. I took a break because I was sick and 1 week turned into 2 which turned into a month and then we got here.... I'm really sorry I haven't posted. I am just trying to figure out what to build next, and how to make it look cool

Honestly my biggest advice would just be to make what you love. If you have a particular video game you are really into, then record that. If you are big into books, then do commentary about your favorite book. Like to draw? Then record yourself making something. And thank you for letting me know about the audio! I am still working on making everything sound correctly. I'll have to try to adjust it for next time

@@cyantrell oh no i meant the audio on my recording software gets all artifact-y not yours, and i cant make commentary cos i dont even have a good mic and also i like minecraft but i dont know what part of minecraft i should start with, building in creative, commentary (through text) with just some hypixel games in the background, or survival? it definitely would help if i had friends which i dont

@@theplayer4664 oh gotcha that makes sense. Well if you are wanting to do timelapses those are always fun and you can put them to royalty free music. I have seen a lot of people use text to speech generators as well, but those are mostly just used for shorts. So you have plenty of options

@@cyantrell well there are youtubers using text-to-speech for the only speech in their videos, but i honestly doubt it will be good for minecraft videos, or its used for tiktok-ish shorts just so they dont have to bother with audio instead of low quality audio, speaking about mic's, i have artifacts with headphones but default mic (idk what mic exactly just default) audio is just SO quiet for some reason that i had to set it to 500% on OBS just so i could tell what i was saying also i dont know if you noticed but i updated my account's picture and also the big picture you usually see when you go to an account's page

@@theplayer4664 I did notice it! It looks great! As for the mic turning it up that high will definitely cause some issues with audio quality. Without knowing your set up, the best I can recommend is getting closer to your mic, or possibly getting a dedicated mic for your audio. (I have heard that some people use their cell phone for their mic and it works decently well)

Thank you!!!! I'm really glad you liked it! I had a lot of fun making it, and I'm super glad my sorting system is done. I've got a few other redstone ideas to make it better, but I'll save those for later. Also I hate to admit it, but I agree. The shops will probably stay that way; they are growing on me.

I did know about the disc and trims! I am super excited for 1.20. I'm waiting a bit to update until after all of the curseforge virus stuff settles down before I update. I think I'm most excited for chiseled bookshelves and calibrated sculk sensors

@@cyantrell why are you waiting for the fractureiser situation to settle down? it was mainly on curseforge MC mods i doubt youll get it from 1.20, i assume you already checked your pc for it beacause since you know about it you probably already have oh and im interested most in the archeology in 1.20, uncovering trail ruins (thats where those 5 new armor trims will be, and only in those, and i think the disc too) or finding hidden rooms in other structures like desert temples (no not the place with TNT, i mean other rooms added by 1.20)

@@theplayer4664 oh getting 1.20 wouldn't have it, but we do have a few mods. I don't think any of the ones we use were compromised. I just figured I'd give it a week I don't know a lot about the archeology stuff, but I'm excited to learn about it after we update

@@cyantrell oh well i will let you find out the archeology as you go, atleast the stuff i didnt tell you about from archeology, though trail ruins are a new structure and the hidden temple rooms are a change in desert temples which might mess with worldgen when updating oh uhm edit, apparently superflat is customizable now in terms of biome generation

I'm glad you caught it then! And no I don't have a honey/honeycomb farm. Blainster has one (and I might have helped him corral the bees). I didn't want to have a monopoly on all the farms for the server. So I figured I wouldn't make one

i once played a server of a friend (his friends were there too) and i wanted to make a chicken farm but he told me not to beacause one of them did that on another server and it had hundreds of chickens and lagged the server a lot from what i was told

Yah it will definitely cause lag (especially if you did it the way that I bombed SNEZ's base) but if you build the chicken farm the right way it won't cause a ton of lag. (As a matter of fact it should cause less lag having a chicken farm than an over crowded chicken pen will)

I'm glad to see you are excited for my next video!!!!! The only auto farm for plants that I have is an auto nether tree farm. MightySNEZ has an auto crop machine, and I am trying to stay away from farming food to let other people have some cool farms (they do look really exciting though) And that's really cool! I am too much of a coward to play a flat world. That is too much terraforming for my simple brain! (It is weird that you lost your sun and moon though 🤔🤔)

Just watched your video! That is super impressive! (I pretend that I know about redstone, but I am clueless in all honesty). And yah I mostly just make the videos for myself. If you like mini games (or in your case Giant games), then you might like my next video that is coming out soon. We will be making a few mini games and testing them out

@@cyantrell i made the screen for my tic-tac-toe giant 'cos i thought the size of them would make them easier to distinguish, but it made the part behind the screen harder to make due to complexity, most of the game isnt actually very complex, on the sides of the rooms there are toggle mechanisms (basically a redstone-activated lever) then the paths going behind the screen which then go into a mechanism that only allows one of the wires to output a signal (one of these for each of the 9 display parts) then the actual display, i did not make a mechanism for winning though, i did use command blocks for resetting the game instead

i didnt show it in any video but i have made doors from 2x2 to 4x4 (5x5 and past are mostly flying machines now for the simpler ones) i also started making a sort of classic MC puzzle map but didnt finish, i spent hours making the mechanism that drops you from the lobby to the puzzle, but mostly beacause i wanted to make it a 2x1 tunnel that would put a block of glass and a block of iron in it with pistons getting exposed and no command blocks then i spent 10 mins just looking at it working with the good timing and stuff, and again the map isnt finished so it probably wouldnt be worth showing to anyone except my friend i was building it with, i wanted to make it a multiple ending map but yeah not finished so none exist yet

@@theplayer4664 that sounds so cool!!!! I am a huge fan of piston doors (even made sure to put one in one of my shops. Which people can see if I every actually get the video edited). One of the guys on my server is wanting to make an escape room; so, the puzzle map sounds right up his alley!

But the parrot is fine now at least 😂😂 and plenty of seeds to heal it up. At least, I think that heals it...

Yah I realized that afterwards. It was a big oversight on my part (I am really good at losing elytra), but it did give me the chance to go end raiding with some server mates.
