Santavana Forest Hermitage, located in western Sabah's Tuaran area, is a Buddhist temple created in 1998. Its objectives emphasize Buddhist ideas and disciplines, as well as the special manifestation of the Triple Gem in Santavana.

The Nanchan Temple, located south of Wuxi, is a huge cultural bazaar on the Grand Canal. The exact time when the temple was built is uncertain. It was restored about 1,200 years ago, in 782 AD, during the Tang Dynasty. It is now a national historical and cultural relic, protected by the local authorities. The soundscape was recorded by Schoeps mid-side (MK4 and CCM8) into Zoom F6.
